I assume you mean his ear?
The car doesn't even look that "cleaned" to me
Certainly needs the black bits making black, and the silver bits making shiny!
It's not covered in flies and poo, that as far as I'm concerned, is clean. The car is by no means of a show standard (loads of small scratches and not great paintwork in general), so why would I put loads of effort into cleaning it to a high standard. Plus, unlike some on here, I get extremely bored of cleaning a car.
You've just rubbed it here and there with a sponge havent you
Nope, I actually scrubbed it here and there with a wash mit thingy...some of the bugs and mud were stuck fast!
I want my calipers doing in that silver, from what i've read you just bought them like that so wouldnt know what paint was used?
I did indeed buy them like that so don't know what the paint is unfortunately. I'd guess some form of generic high temp silver though.
No i mean as in no visible rot and no bits hanging off and missing.
I've managed to (unintentionally) not take pictures of the rear arch rust, although it's not
too bad, it's certainly not good and I really should fix it before winter properly sets in else rubbish weather will see them rotting properly.
Also sometimes you just need to give a man a gee up when hes lost half an ear in the line of duty
Hahaha, brilliant. It's all good, I don't mind people criticising myself or my car, if they don't like me/it/what I've done, that's their problem, not mine. I'm happy so it's fine.
I am under no delusion about the state of the car, it's not brilliant but it's certainly not very bad. The 328i was bad with major rot on both arches as well as all rubber perished and bump strips scraped and very grey.
Anyway...

That lot, plus the bonnet (which is not visible under normal light) are the real bodywork issues, there are small stone chips, dings and scratches as well, but they are all small and haven't been done in my ownership.
