What have you Achieved in life?

Not much yet. Only academic achievements really. I don't really consider them important achievements in themselves, it depends what I go on to do with them.

I just completed Chopin's Nocturne #2 in less than a few weeks. That's pretty good going so far as I'd always intended to learn it but never seemed to get round to it :)

a lot of material wealth in form of properties and money in the bank, but still feel unfullfilled. Once I've set myself up for the future, I'll look at doing some charity work for a few years and see if that fills up the hole. :D

I'm mostly proud of my gf. She has overcome so much in her life and have been insanely successful at a very young age (for the dirty gits out there, she's 24 :p ). She had to battle an eating disorder, cancer, death in her family, bullying at work, a big car accident and a few other things. Yet she smiles everyday and you can just see the iron resolve behind her eyes.

Married my ideal girl in 2001.

Was granted an unconditional IR-1 US visa this past tuesday.

Moving to US on April 25th to begin a new chapter.

What an exellent thread this. Its quite heartening to see some many people enjoying life.

Also,

Great work busman. Truly something to be proud of.

Well done daveyj27. Best of luck in your new life.

Chris.

my biggest achievement thus far is screwing up my 9yr relationship with the love of my life by sleeping with two of her friends in one night. The following morning i was dumped.

That really is an achievement!

I'm proud of being able to say that I raised £13,000.00 (hope it's not unlucky!) for Neurosurgical Research from 14 years old to 17 years old.

Excellent! That's the type of thing i'd aspire to do!! :) :)

The natural extension to the OP is, What would you like to achieve?

Thats a problem, Im not exactly too sure what i would like to achieve.

At the moment im stuck working in a supermarket and every job i think about doing or career path i look at makes me cringe somewhat for one reason or another.

The only one i think that will keep me happy and i will enjoy at this point in life is the Army so im possibly going to join them and Try and get into the 4RAR(Australian Paras) if i can.
Just as soon as im fit and strong enough :)

I live life exactly how I want, in a nice cottage with land to grow things and relax, and indulge in all four of my hobbies, I'm happy.

if you can call that an achievement.

does having about 20 hours sleep since the start of the week and still being up and alive count? :)

If not, then my biggest achievement would be the amount of (general) computer knowledge. Mainly due to me not knowing what area I want a career in... :(

oh yea, and 'public services' i do,like hosting the ocuk services on my site (see link on sig) and fixing peoples PCs for free etc etc

I have achieved the ability to remain modest and refrain from blowing my own trumpet.

I've also achieved the ability to be highly cynical. ;)
