In light of reading one of our ancient posters recent mishaps ;)

I got wondering....
What has everyone broken/fractured etc.... And does it still give you issues today?

I've actually managed to do relatively well.

Was roller skating as a child in a hall, and fell on my behind. Stuck my arms out instinctively and my left arm bent the wrong way. I cracked clean through the little knobble of bone as such on my elbow.

Still causes me occasional pangs (well over ten years old injury), but nothing major.

broken my jaw completely and entirely.

complete breaks at each connection point as well as the middle. the entire rest of the jaw was filled with microfractures.

The cause? five meter fall headfirst onto concrete.

nose after a car crash, it gives me problems if i have a cold, ive fallen from trees and never broken anything :)

In my 27 years of life on this planet I have only ever broken one bone, my finger.

I did fall of a gate one and twisted my ankle, and for weeks/months later I kept doing it to the same ancle, turns out the fall of the gate had done something to the muscle or tendants somewhere making them weaker, so I had to do a few sessions in physio.

Seem to be ok now I don't land on it funny anymore

I remember having a similar conversation with some family members a few years ago and saying "I've never broken a bone, stayed the night in hospital or had surgery" and about 8 hours later all three had happened...

I had a tri- malleolar fracture that night, which is some clever ankle breakage as well as the small bone in your leg, i also managed to dislocate same leg at the same time. Ouch. It does still give me trouble, had all metalwork now removed but still find it difficult to walk. Also chipped some bones in a car accident.

Never broken anything, but my left shoulder took the full impact of me coming off my motorbike at ~50mph.

It still twinges 9 years later. I'll propably get athritis in it soon :(

I'm nearly 25 and have never broken anything - I don't think - although last year, I kicked the wheel of the supermarket trolley by accident while wearing flip flops, bent my little toe back which went completely black and was so painful I couldn't wear shoes or even socks as it pressed too much on it (had to continue wearing flip flops for about 2 weeks even in the rain :() still hurt a little bit for a good month after. So I strongly suspect I broke my little toe that day. Didn't bother to go to hospital as there would have been nothing they could do with it.

Sadly it was the day before I went to Alton Towers as well, where you can't really wear flip flops unless you want to lose them - I had to wear my volleyball trainers as they were my widest trainers, hurt like a son of a ***** and it looked a hell of a lot worse after a day of walking!

Never been stung by a bee or wasp either. (frantically touches wood, sure I'll now be stung by a bee while driving and crash car, fracturing many bones).
