What have you done to your car today?

Replaced a bunch of coolant hoses today, the end of one had been perishing for a while but found loads of cracks when I checked them over. Hoping to avoid any more scenes like this :D

There's no need to curl up on the ground and soak it with your tears :D

In my budget track car build it's now lowered, and will soon be wearing these BBSs. I have some Nankang NS2-Rs in 195/50/15s coming, some hubcentric spacers (5mm front, 15mm rears) and some spigot rings from 57.1 to 54.1 and we should be good! I have a few more things to tart up on it too before it's MOT equiv over here. Exhaust blowing at the joint, so have a new crush gasket for that and some poly bushes for the exhaust (prone to rattle).

Then we're booking the track day and I'll be teaching the wife how to hoon it round the track. Hoping she gets the bug... will make my own hobbies easier to justify :D

Oh, and I have some orange vinyl to go on it too in certain places... :P

Car owes us nothing, was a cheap buy and if it's good enough for bad obsession, it'll be good enough for me!

Why not go crazy. Gold. :p
Ooo it's tempting... I might look at that!

I did some more while in a meeting...

Heat gun, some 3M vinyl and off we go. It's not 100% but I tell you what, I am actually pleased with the results! Look different colours, but just the light.

On the car...

Need to use the vinyl plotter for the go faster stripe down the centre and then do some front bumper, rear bumper and side skirt accents. I'll try and pop out a bit each day to get them on and see how to work this vinyl software!

Bought a Vito after looking for ages for a van to convert, seems the tourers are quite cheap and seem to have avoided the crazy van prices currently.

Nothing serious so far, just fitted heko deflectors (for camping), roof bars and the merc centre console/cup holder thing. So far so good, I have a Flatout Campers bed which I ordered in a nice material for a new t6 that was cancelled, so plan is to get that fitted at some point.

or the other chestnut ....just because that chest of draws fitted your old volvo est, a lot of trouble to prove to the wife you can still use this volvo to fetch it:)

old ian mcshane (aka lovejoy reference ):)

or one last ( i promise) due to other volvo posts.....where did that werthers go....

Saab failed it's MOT on crusty rear arches. It is 17 years old after all.

More of a design flaw as where the sealant starts it is fine. If only they continued the seam all the way to the back.

At least I get to play about with my welder for a change.

All done and sealed up. Once dried will apply stone chip and paint. Out of picture but also had to weld up the dog legs by the rear doors and also around the fuel filler neck. Drain was blocked so it ended up trapping water. I am hoping the passenger side will fair a little better :P.

Picked up some wheels yesterday. Ordered tyres.
Obviously today had to clean those wheels and give them a cheap fix up and make look a bit nicer today. Tyres should arrive tomorrow. Spacers and spigot rings are already here ready and waiting to go on!
