What have you done to your car today?

Lol - just! In a 1500kg car it is pretty impressive. Plus with remaps, xpipe and a few other bits and bobs mine is putting out about 410hp now :)

Some people have put twin turbos in too, but that is just crazy. Saying that, I would seriously miss the n/a engine. The responsiveness is fantastic.

It would be much quicker than the flagship models, so that would never happen :(

I never get tired of the noise, especially the xpipe/resonator/cat delete along with the top down under a bridge/tunnel.

I am thinking the next step might be a V10 R8. Will get a bit more life out of my SLK first though.

Unless you used BorgWarner EFR, the 6758's or the lower spec ones :D (good for 450bhp each and the response is stupidly, stupidly quick from them). BorgWarner turbo's are much better than the turbos you would get on even a Ferrari 488 GTB, hence why they are so expensive.

Smashed over 100k miles so that's 42k miles put on by me in a year and 3 months. Not bad going considering nothing has gone wrong with it. I got the clutch and DMF changed not long ago but it likely would've gone on for a while longer without that much trouble anyway.

The Charger passed its MOT on Friday, so I picked it up on Saturday and went for a drive! Been off the road for a decade.

Very happy, to say the least. After sinking so much time and money into it I was concerned that it might turn out to be a bit uninspiring (or have further hidden issues), but it drives far better than I ever expected. It's got some serious muscle, too! :D

Didn't get to spend much time with it this weekend, though, so I'm looking forward to next weekend already.

Hey Lashout, looks good.

Been rewiring my '68 Dart, you want to check your loom on your Mopar also. Bulkhead connector on mine was shot.

Seems to be such a weak point, doesn't it! I've not really looked at mine too closely yet, barring making sure there's nothing obviously amiss. Everything works at the moment, though, but I will inspect it properly next weekend.

Finally had a chance with me being full time on my new house project (thread to be created soon!) I finally had a chance to take the little Jimny on a bit of greenlaning.

Also dragged Howard along :)

Finally got my plate on the car, I had planned to use a stick-on plate on the front bumper instead of on the grill. IMO it looks so much better, after fitting it though it was too far to the right and I was asked nicely to put a proper plate on.

Just trying to work out the best way of relocating it further down/to one side without it becoming an issue.

Take it off and inspect for burning/bubbling of plastics/shocking chopped connections.

Mine was running okay but oh boy what a fire risk... All lopped out now.

If you can get a sticker plate place it over the washer jet (obviously cut around it so the headlight washer still works).

That's where it was, it was applied too far to the right though.

I'm tempted to re-order another plate and give it another go. This time it will be put closer to the grill and aligned with the bottom right vent rather than the headlight. I just don't want to be pushing my luck too much as I was just advised to sort it rather than a fine etc :(

Pretty sure the law states that it has to be as near vertical and closest to the front of the vehicle as possible. So you're pretty much looking at the grill or get problems :(

changed the wipers on an e92

Bought some ebay ones that listed as fitting but turned out to just be a universal wiper with lots of different fittings. no good as you cant get the cover over.

But ECP stock ones that fit under the covers

so now no more noisy wipers

Looks a bit better on white I guess.

My mate only had issues with police regarding spacing, not the size of plate or the fact it is a sticker (it's still reflective etc).
