What Headphones

post how it is when it arrives 
Well estimated dispatch date is the 25th but I expect them to arrive Thursday latest so will have to spend the whole weekend breaking them in before posting my thoughts over the 485 which have a few hundred hours of listening mileage xD
Well my HD555 came today, I've only had time at work to listen to them powered by my mobile (K750i) and listened to some RAP music ( 
) - anyway, the soundstage is much wider and nicer than the 485m the bass feels more neutral too, more natural - the 485 was a bit more up front.
Really comfy too and light. I like the build quality, slightly better than the 485 (less things to wobble loose).
Very impressed so far and they're not even burned in yet!

glad they arrived! the citylink site is pants atm yep, I posted an amp to someone on ebay and the buyer emailed me in all caps complaining about lack of tracking ...working!!

Leave them running in over night, also use a decent headphone amplifier. Look into "Pimeta" these are ideally suited to Sennheiser headphones.
How are you finding them Raikiri? had a chance to extend a listen on them or burning them in? going to leave mine playing over night and sample them again in the morning but so far awesome
They're more slim on profile than the HD485 too and feel nicer on the ears, or around as it is..
Also got some new speaker cables in the post today so doubly impressed by the days turnover!

The stereo imaging is phenomenal! I'm actually re-re-rediscovering my favourite reference music now heh.
