What inflation device is in your boot?

I have what seems to be the ubiquitous Halfords double barrel pump in the garage. But I don't carry it with me. I have a spare wheel in each car. But in all honesty last time I needed to remove a wheel in my garage it took a breaker bar the size of the county to undo the nuts last put on by the garage. So I'm not expecting to be able to remove the wheel in a hurry.

So RAC will be my friend instead :)

Retorque the wheels yourself before it becomes an issue. If they wheels have been off they should be rechecked anyway.

Don't go back to suppliers that employ half trained monkeys with air hammers.

Years ago I new someone that had a set of alloys (back when steel was the norm) destroyed by an over enthusiastic tyre fitter.

Agree with that advice. It was after I bought the car so it had been done before my ownership. I had to remove them to refurbish them. I torqued them correctly when I put them back on afterwards. In hindsight I should have done it immediately after I bought the car in case of an emergency on the road.

One of the Ford supplied ones in my ST with that gunk stuff, I also have a Ring one as a back up. Oh and a spare wheel.

20p a month at the local Asda.
I feel like i need a pump but in reality with the exception of someone intentionally letting the tyres down i cant think of a reason to buy one so far.

RAC635 - got it brand new for £6 so fairly lucky there.

Mainly use it to check tyre pressures when stone cold, also provides some piece of mind as I don't have a spare.

Just a low profile spare, check every month for pressure, tyres checked weekly for condition and pressure.

I think i have a Ring model variant as well. So far has come very handy. Had a very slow puncture once that i had to use it a few times for. Also the family have used it a few times to top up/check pressure, which always saves a trip to the petrol station, and saves even more if it's one that costs.
