What injuries have you had?

So far:

23 stitches from the tip of my thumb to the top of my index finger, after getting my hand caught in a gate hinge.

Broken Collar bone, result of a rugby tackle.

Broken wrist, karate injury.

Broken front tooth, sparring injury.

Spiral fracture of right humerus, 13 weeks in a cast / brace. A further 6 weeks to regain mobility, best part of a year to get back to full usage.

I find it miraculous that not only have I never broken a bone in my life, I've never had any serious injuries. This is miraculous as I'm one of the most accident prone people on this earth.

Fractured skull = Handlebars snapped on a Raleigh Chopper
Broken nose = Got beaten up by a gang of "big kids"
Broken collarbone = fell off motorbike
Stitches in knee = fell off motorbike
Lacerated forearm (had to have a vein tied off) = fell off motorbike
Broken rib = kickboxing

Now I'm forever off buying a motorbike.

Considering I have played rugby for ten years, started training in MMA last September, did plenty of downhill biking I have come off lucky.

Knocked myself out with a tennis racket.

Bone breaks:

Collarbone, (Football)
Several ribs (Kick boxing)
Thumb (Football)

Muscle injuries
Ruptured Calf Muscle (Football)
Torn Achilles (Football)
Torn Ankle Ligaments (Football)
Torn Trapezius (Picking up piece of paper whilst still trying to stay seated in my chair)

In addition during my childhood :
Ear partially torn off and several split heads.

Snapped my forearm when I was a lot younger - fell out of a tree and the arm landed on the handle of one of those "kid trampolines" with the grab-bar to keep you upright. Ouch.

Had a metal pipe jut out of my right leg when I tripped up down the side of my nan's neighbours once. Can't say that was a pleasant sight or feeling - only about an inch diameter pipe, thankfully it scraped off the bone and wedged down between the calf muscle and bone. :(

Fractured the left elbow joint - or rather my auntie that was "trained in first aid" did. Sprained the arm falling over whilst playing Swingball (THE game of injuries I tell you!) so she thought she would put it in a sling. Unfortunately I don't think you're supposed to yank it as tight as she did! Nasty little crack/snap sound and bawled my eyes out for a while after (was only 14...). She decided to take me to A&E about 4 days later haha :D

Chipped the tip of my coccyx courteous of Shayper - pushed me over and landed on a metal plug socket jutting out of the wall in school - big ouch for that one, couldn't really move my legs for about 10 minutes afterwards so the Paramedic was concerned it had wrecked my spine - thankfully not though!!

I got hit in the nose with a cricket bat, broke it.
Broke my leg climbing over a gate as a child.

Thats about it

Strangely, I hate hearing about people breaking their toes by stubbing them on something. As it hurts so much to do it, without it breaking. The thought of doing it so hard it breaks makes me cringe =\

When I was about 15 I was flying down a hill on my bike and couldn't stop . Dragged my feet along the floor to aid the breaks and my right foot hit a massive rock ! Broke big toe and one next to it. That arghhhh you do when you stub your toe lasted for about a week

I feel like I'm letting the side down here, I've fractured 4 fingers and a few bones in my foot playing rugby. Would prefer to keep it at that low tally :p

A few seriously sprained ankles, torn medial ligaments, knee cartilage damage, and patellar tendonitis. All courtesy of football.

Infinite nosebleeds (a few per week for the past 10 years)
Broke both bones in my right forearm when i tripped over as a kid
Cracked my skull pretty bad trying to do a backflip on a bike (i landed upside down on concrete after doing 1/2 a backflip lol)

That's about it. I'm not sure how I've managed to avoid breaking anything else, what with all the fighting my brother and running around over rocks/climbing trees as a kid. Guess I've been lucky.

15 Stitches in head fell down the stairs cracked it open on banister.
Hernia aged 5 or 6, yes.... apparently from trying to pick up the sofa..
Knelt on a rake head in the snow.. lot of blood.
Fractured leg when fishing.... impressive.
broken toes, fractured toes

I had a wooden stick in my left eye, it was quite serious and had to go to hospital, but my vision is absolutely amazing even after the accident. :)

Broken my little finger, and that is about it!

Sooo I am lucky.
