BT Openzone hotspot thingamy. It's pretty good though, 10-20ms in CS 1.6 and 20Mb up and down does me alright.

Apparently Comcast (I'm in US), was just given the password to the Wi-Fi by the landlord but it's actually been decent pings are around 100-150ms on my usual servers in the UK (in US at the moment). Speedtest showing 24Mbps is decent without a hard connection me thinks.

Virgin.

I am on bt @ 8mb i got them to change my connection to fast path which seems very good for gaming i get pings of 10-20 on decent servers.

I wouldn't mind fiber optic but will be awhile before i can get it in this area i feel not sure i do enough downloading to warrant it either but maybe i would start with them crazy download speeds :P

I get around 9mb with Bethere. I used to get 11-13 but lately in the last 6 months I'll be lucky to get 9mb. They recently had some problems with their network, and I couldn't even load up web pages or get into my email. Been with them 4yrs and while been generally great, I've had enough and want to try something new.

I use Fast.co.uk which are good and downtime for me has been extrememly low. At work I used BT and can test anywhere between 5.4mb and 8.3mb other than that BT has been reliable.

Been with VM since before it was even blueyonder. Currently on their 30Mb service and it rocks, I can't remeber the last bit of downtime I had.

speedtest.net is all about which server you test though. when i first got the 50mb installed only 3-4 of the UK ones could upload that fast. my nearest server (aberdeen) can put out 25. i have to ping manchester london or maidenhead to max it out.

Sky Broadband Unlimited - I personally haven't had any bad experiences and I have tweaked my line to 20MB from 16MB with my Billion 7800n.

In fact there is one problem with Sky and it's there profiles, they restrict your upload depending on your Downstream Noise Margin which in my view is stupid. I have a ggod Upstream Noise Margin but they don't take that into account, i'm happy with a solid 20MB Connection with no restrictions nor outages since becoming a customer (22Months Ago).

For £7.50 you can't go wrong and i'm currently on an offer which gives me Broadband Unlimited and Sky Talk for £1 over the next 9 months. It's always worth phoning up to cancel your services, also got the Full Package TV Package at Half Price :)

So, Sky Customers get on the ringer and call 'em up to cancel (Give your 30 days notice) and get your discount(s)....
