It does if you set the correct permissions on the icopter folder.

lol, I unfortunately wrote the game on 1.1.1 and on 1.1.1 it does save the high score. I've only recently found on that on 1.1.3 and above it doesn't save the high score, and i'm not entirely sure why. Although, you could do me a favour: on your iPod / iPhone go into the iCopter.app folder and make sure that the permissions on highScore.txt is set to 777. That might fix it.
