Depends if you're following BODMAS.

BODMAS would make the answer 25 (if I've remembered it right)

5 X 5 = 25

25 - 5 = 20

20+5 = 25

I now await being told I'm wrong

Using operand priotities, -15 (try using the scientific calculator)
priorities give 5 - (5x5) + 5 or 5-25+5

5x5=25
5-25=20
20+5

Gets you 25.

In UK (maths not math) it would probably have brackets around part of it and we were taught to do that part first in school during the 70-80's.
