Several = 3+ but still small.
Speaking of which, has anyone else noticed that Americans tend to omit the "of" when using "couple" in a sentence? For instance "When I was younger I had a couple dogs". Not just informally either, I've seen it in books.
No wonder u students want lower tuition fees lol.

Few = five
Several = seven ish
Two, anyone who thinks it's more is a swinger.
Whilst I know couple technically means 2, I've always used the following terms:
Couple = 3-4
Few = 5-6
Several = 7-10
Many = 11+
If there are 2, I will say two.
