What is always in your fridge?

This I love how the Eggs always brings up a debate but nobody questions the storing of things like Onions! Personally I dig mine up from the allotment in Autumn and put them in a hessian sack (or two) and store them in a cool dry place. They survive like this right through to the following summer hopefully just long enough for the winter crop to be ready for harvest. Same goes for Carrots, Parsnips and other root vegtables none of which need refrigeration!
 
UK eggs aren't washed. This leaves the natural protective coating on the outside. I this state ambient temperatures are fine.

Eggs are also fine in the fridge but once chilled should stay chilled. The higher humidity of the fridge breaks down the natural protective coating.
 
I have to say I'm surprised so many people keep things like eggs and onions in the fridge. I'm even thinking of keeping tomatoes out of the fridge.

Interesting post above about hanging up onions and storing veg - hadn't thought of that.

I always have:

Guernsey butter (salted/unsalted)
2 litres full fat milk / 2 semi-skimmed milk
Salad of some kind
Natural yoghurt
A couple of bottles of white (currently Muscadet sur lie)
Veg

We have a larder fridge so always plenty of stuff in there.

You've got a system fault there, probably leak or blockage :)
 
As I only have a mini-fridge in my room at halls, I find I'm in a state of panic if my fridge doesn't contain Orange Juice. Too much is bad, I know; but I love it! :D

That and some form of spread (marg' or butter, whatever is on offer)...

Tobasco
Sauces
Mushrooms

Generally all or most of these. People will moan about things being kept in the fridge but my flat is warm and I don't really give a toss.
