intel core 920 i7 @ 3.9ghz
asus p6t deluxe mobo
6gb corsair dominator 1280 ram
2 x150 gb raptors raid 0
1tb seagate barracuda 7200.11
windows vista ultimate & and 7 ultimate

Crucial C300 SSD SATA III are the fastest you can get. Much faster then Intel

According to the latest specs from Crucial themselves they don't look much faster now - well not the 'i think its the 128gb' version.

the 256gb version is but i think its a lot of money.

cool thanks, crucial 256gb it will be then :}

you need a sata III interface to get the top speeds from it, ur mobo isnt sata III so ul need a seperate card to give you the 6 gb/s interface
you could always raid0 some other SSD's and get even faster r/w speeds. depends on how fast you want
