What is FAST and are you ?

Thats madness.. :D

Yeh it's a good car. Although I'm running some BBS cH's on the rear whilst a wheel gets refurbed which is interesting to say the least.

I'd love to go more power but I'm in the territory of stupid money so hopefully the downpipes will quell my thirst for more speed. I like the 100+ pull that Housey talks about :)

Mines "warm". e36 m3 i drove was "fast" but felt "warm". My 1430 mini was warm but felt like you was strapped in a bathrub being thrown off a waterfall.

Maybe they feel fast in their cars :p

Do you mean a combination of power+car+relative speed or just "speed".

In my civic that 85MPH felt fast purely because there was so much road noise and engine noise as well as the car being fairly small and it bobbled about a lot with crosswinds but in this car the same speed feels slow.

I don't understand traffic light GP either :p I engine brake down to red lights anyway so by the time I reach them they're green and I just cruise onward!

In my parents Lexus, 130 feels slow.
In a GoKart, 30 feels insane.

"Fast" depends on environment, people perception, ride height, and what you're driving.

Slow:above 10 seconds
Able:8.0-9.9
Warm:6.0-7.9
Fast:4.6-6.0
Rapid:3.6-4.5
Mental:3.5 seconds or less

Very flawed way of thinking. Your criteria would put a 911 C2 as 'fast' but a 911 C4 as 'rapid', and would have an Audi A5 diesel in the same group as a Ferrari F355.

There is also a huge difference between a car that does 0-60 in 6 seconds, which I'd class as quick by anyones standards, with one that does it in almost 8 which... I wouldn't.

Fast for me is 0-80 in 2 seconds as one experiences on Stealth at thorpe park.

My car is ok, quick i think is a better word for it rather than fast.

I went on it the first day they were testing <2 second 0-83mph (previously 2.4 seconds) - IIRC we hit the fastest time of 1.69 seconds that they'd ever run it (upto that point). Now that is quick I could barely keep my eyes open.

Love that ride tho... after the acceleration you coast up the upwards side slowdown over the top and your thinking "this ain't so bad" then your suddenly looking at the ground 200feet below knowing that whatever happens your going down... and all that goes through your mind is "oh ****" lol.

I used to think my 300bhp Classic Impreza was fast - in fact it was really, until I went in my friends 600+ bhp GTR. Now that is a whole new level of fast. In fact, I don't mind admitting I was actually a little scared!

Generally speaking. But also the Ferrari is 15 years old now and diesels have come quite a long way in the last 8 or so years. So much so that they are appearing in competitive racing.

Though yeah, hot hatches are now touching or even beating 6.0s so I would personally change it to 4.5-5.8 just to keep the hatches seperate from the sports cars :p

I'm more interested in acceleration than speed day to day. My car is rapid/fast in that table. It scared the crap out of me when I first had it mapped (only good for maybe 320bhp) but I find it fine now. Luckily it's still good round corners and stuff so it's still as fun as ever :)

I dont know where I would class the Megane although it feels mighty sprightly after hopping out of one of the works Sprinters. Then again I have supprised afew people from the lights in one of those. Its difficult to find a decent or reputable 0-60 for the Megane which doesnt help.

Fast car wise I normally say something with 250bhp+ (not talking about little light weight things)

Mine doesn't even border on fast.. But is fast enough for me and my licence.

My cars to quick to time but it eats Bimmas & Porkas every day & keeps up with the Euro jet up to around 196mph but then the limiter kicks in. :(
