What is "Fast"?

It's you who keeps going and going and going. Don't see how that is classic.

Everyone is posting, not just me.

We just dont like tall stories, thats all.

Unless you think it's possible a race with speeds of up to 130mph to take place on a half mile section of urban dual carriageway, anyway.

I've been just as active. Look at Gibbo's thread, looks like he isnt buying the TLMH BS either.

What about InvaderGIR? Or PeterNem?

In fact, why are you the only person "defending" this ridiculous **** and bull story of his?

True tbh. Fox does go on, but he does it in a funny way. It's the whole point of Motors, and GD. Rip someone to the ground and remind them in every post on what they stated.

It's a trend here.

I'm pointing out that all of your comments are as potentially far fetched as what Mike is saying.

So explain how :)

I just can't see why you'd have a 'race' to those speeds on a road like that, I just don't think it happened. The rest of the stuff he's said in this thread and the fact that a year after the race the M3 was sold with a head gasket failure to somebody who didnt notice when he's only had his Focus for 3/4 of a year is just the icing on the cake.

I beleive he felt that on paper his Focus was as quick, cobbled together a quick story to back his point up and it all snowballed from there.

Well, it is Fox, usually. I make a claim, he takes it way out of proportion swings everything in his favour and instils an argument based on his twisted version rather than what has actually been said.

No, I've never been under the impression that an ST is faster than an M3 - give me more credit than that.

Yes, the M3 in question did suffer HGF, and yes it was still running.

Yes, the M3 failed to pass me until at least 90MPH, but no I do not think it would necessarily happen again if repeated under controlled conditions.

Yes you can do 100MPH southbound on Medina Way and stop WELL in advance of the end, and no the M3 wasn't doing 130MPH.

I'm not defending anyone. I'm pointing out that all of your comments are as potentially far fetched as what Mike is saying.

Silly me.

Saying that the M3 is faster is just as far fetched as imaginary 100+mph drag races down short stretches of road in which a Focus ST paces said M3? My bad.

If that were true, I'd be a lone voice.

I find this most intruiging.

So it didnt leave you for dead at 100mph then?

I didn't say it left me for dead, I said he passed me like I was barely moving at 90-100MPH, now I've thought about the location in which he passed me, it is more likely it was closer to 90MPH than 100MPH.

Passed me means his back end passed my front end IMO, at which point he could have braked. It isn't like he flew past me and carried on accelerating for another 10 seconds.

He's said it left him from 100+. However, if he did know how fast the M3 was going then maybe he'd state it?

Why do you not understand this?

EDIT: This will never come to closure.

I have just come into this thread and a quick skim read seems to suggest this.

Mike says that he once had a drive against an M3 (E36?) which was quite a close call and says his Focus is fast because of this.

He then goes onto say that older engines lose power and that the BMW was obviously sick as the engine had HGF a year later.

So are you saying that your Focus is or isn't a quick car? It kept up with an M3, but then this M3 was faulty?

He's said it left him from 100+.

No, you're not up to date with MikeHiow's latest version of 90mph, if you're going to defend him you need to keep up with his tall stories, I know it might be a bit diffiicult. :D

Why don't you ask about Medina Way in the same place that you and PeterNem found TLMH and WPMNAH.

That will settle and doubts of at least the possibility of it happening. :)

Eh?

Seen my location? If I was that fussed about Medina Way I'd just hop over in the 318 and film myself driving it at below the speed limit and be able to judge just what speed a car is capable of reaching on that road.

It just so happens I don't care about the location (although this makes it more amusing as it's such a short section of road), I care about the obvious lies you're telling.

I didn't say it left me for dead, I said he passed me like I was barely moving at 90-100MPH

To do that he'd have to be doing +150mph
