Well in that case then all online platforms can be a news source.

social media is the most unreliable easily manipulated news source there is.

seems to be great for lazy "journalists" who want to find a story to copy and paste without any thought though

Social media is a content aggregator not a news source. Questionable news sources may be posted on there, and questionable news sources are very easily marketed on there as adverts can be targeted so precisely.
