What is it these days with ugly cases?

I ended up getting into making my own cases because of being disatisfied with whats available and really enjoy the challenge of making them from scratch.

I'll get around to making better ones, the moment I start slipping up and making worse ones I'll think about quitting :), I have definately developed a liking to cube cases thou, real nice to work with.

Thinking of putting a window on the other side and re-doing the front so it's flat with support for just 1 optical drive, which means a new proper paint job too :D.
 
Don't see anything special about the mac pro case myself, looks like it belongs in a kitchen or something with its colour, reminds me of a cheese grater.
 
I have found that NZXT have kept their designs up there amongst the top.

Lian Li and Thermaltake have gone downhill IMO

Agreed, liking the panzerbox for the subtle look, and the rest for their weird Halo-baddy looks. I myself am broke so went for the Beta classic, which is actually quite nice and functional for a budget case.

NZXT has never even been higher than barely mouth above water level of their bling bling ping pong mudhole.

Agree that TT has lately gotten out at least couple half decent cases...
While at the same time Antec has been diving for rock bottom and started to dig deeper.
 
Yer eSat, that was my personal opinion.

I find that NZXT's budget cases are amongs the best for quality and design. Even down to the simplistic NZXT M59 which I might invest in sooner or later.
 
lian li V series has always "done it" for me. I love the front panel style <3


I cant see how anyone can like the "gamer" cases though, antec 900's etc :/ Its vile.

I still want a Windy case though. Omnomnomnom
 
waynio - that bottom one looks ugly as hell but i like the idea of the motherboard sat flat at the top with fans going over it, the cpu and graphics card. Hard drives all in the bottom are good for easy access

Personally i just have an antec sonata 2 in piano black. Its a bit cramped in there though now with a arctic freezer 64 pro, 5 hard drives, a dvd drive and an 8800GT
