The problem is that a lot of PC geeks have absolutely no sense of style or aesthetic.
And then listen people with even less of those.
Most are shocking, horrible clunky things with about as much finesse as a Trabant.
I'm sure functionality had important part in design of Trabant but its certainly doesn't have that part in design process of most cases.
I love my Antec 300...
I really hate those HAF 932s
Incipient schizophrenia? Or maybe problem is that it wasn't made by Antec... (who is seriously lacking in spacious high end department)
You're yourself using another product of the same holes and meshes randomly installed without purpose design philosophy.
Its called desperation, when a case company cannot think of new innovative ways to design cases they fall back on the impractical artistic projects.
The Thermaltake level10 is the best case design I have seen since the TJ07.
Modular design is the way of the future!
Nothing modular in Level 10. Modularity would mean you can remove whole parts of the case you don't need or change them to different ones.
And further nothing "innovative" other than that "toolbox meant for hanging to wall"-look in it.
HDD cooling design is crap with first installed drive blocking that vertical "cooling chimney", hard HDD mounting and metal pieces as covers aren't great for acoustics.
Again main thin metal box probably isn't even big enough for many tower heatsinks! (is it even big enough for long graphics cards?)
First you're blaming one manufacturer from desperation when they make case which isn't even meant for big sales and then on next breath praise cheap junk maker from product which is only meant for drawing attention for getting their name at least once elevated above water level of their mudhole.
And if constant change is somehow automatically good thing then why aren't you replacing steering wheel of your car with digital control of two buttons with one keeping turning wheels at constant rate towards left and and other for same to right? After all aren't we now in digital age and that steering wheel is such freaking old relic from the time of steam engine...
We sure have a need for doctors specialized to schizophrenia in here!
While TJ07 is surely great design for water cooling and has stylish, simple look I always like for air cooling there's nothing special in its design or features.
