Money is nothing but a bubble of security and freedom what you do with your money is not important what you do with the free time it allows you is.

Charity work is more rewarding than you would ever imagine and you get to meet interesting people you normally wouldn't encounter in your day to day life.

Some of these people are wonderful beings that have very little but offer a hell of a lot to give.

Money is nothing but a wall between people break down the barriers and get out there!

Nothing wrong with being successful and having a nice lifestyle. Most everyone aspires to it, but most people can't be bothered getting off their asses and doing something about their lot in life.

my observation was that any notion that someone has done well in life is always, without fail, attacked by a minority of people on this forum

While that may be the case, the OP opened himself right up with that first post. It could have been far simpler, asked the same question and got a better response without the ongoing waffle about how successful he is.
