What is the creepiest thing to have ever happened to you?

Where is the "She"?
/Runs.

My daughter was about 3 and had an imaginary friend which was her Great Nana.
A few months later my Mum was quizzing her about her Great Nana because she had still got a live one but it turned out she was talking about one that died in 1980 who she had never seen.
She then went on to talk about things I didn't know such as dogs names and then she came out with a great one - my Nan was blind in one eye.
At this point my Mum started crying because back in 1956 my Grandad had come home drunk, beat her up and blinded her and only the two eldest siblings knew at the time.
I still think there is a good explanation.

I was in big multi story shopping center. I was on the top floor looking at some t.v's. I felt like someone was looking at me so i moved my head around and looked down to the bottom floor somewhere and straight into my moms eyes  She did the exact same thing and said she felt like someone was watching her so she stopped, turned around and looked up straight into my eyes at the exact same time. We both just stood there opposite ends of this shop a bit shocked lol.

Neither of us knew we were in that shop on that day at that time that we both stopped and turned to look.

The second thing was when i used an Ouija board. The glass started to move and i got scared and stopped straight away. At that time the upstairs door SLAMMED. The door is one thats above really thick carpet so it cant swing willy nilly, you have to push it with force, by hand. It was also summer and no wind anywhere. (Wind can't push the door anyway due to the carpet).

Can't explain what/how the door slammed but all i can say is that Ouija Board shot an extreme feeling of evil through me and i couldn't sleep for weeks after i burnt it :(

I might also add that i have always took the mic out of people who believe in that kinda stuff but that changed my mind. There was also loads of supernatural goings on in the house from the day we used it that non of us can explain. I still don't fully believe until i see a ghost full on ;)

One time when I went to Borley rectory we was told to move along by an old lady from a window, When we went down town they told us that Nobody lives there any more. + :( + :o + :p

Run away Run away. :p

There is a dare where you have to walk around the back of the Rectory on your own, I never did it. :o

I thought the Rectory burnt down in 1939
and in 1944 the Ruins of Rectory where demolished ??.

Lol at the ghost poo story :D

I remember the first time I heard of Candlejack back when I was a teena

I remember being sat on my bed in my room on my own when I was around 10 playing the Playstation.

Then suddenly somebody tapped me on the shoulder quite forcefully, turned around and nobody there! Kind of froze in that position for about a minute and couldn't move.

***T my pants.

I used to have to go over there sometimes and help him when he was very ill at the end and I absolutely hated sleeping in the house. It felt like someone was there in the room with you and the landing at the top of the stairs often felt like someone was sitting there staring down the stairs (I didn't mention that to my brother at the time but we talked about it recently and he felt exactly the same).

Craziest story yet. Had my goosebumps going.

Did you not ever try to communicate with the spirit?

Does your mum not have lots more stories about it?

The ouija board, a con to part fools with their money.

From wiki

"Following its commercial introduction by businessman Elijah Bond on July 1, 1890, [4] the Ouija board was regarded as a harmless parlor game unrelated to the occult until American Spiritualist Pearl Curran popularized its use as a divining tool during World War "

nothing old, mystical or religous about them jsut a game (as you suggest)

This exact phenomenon is featured in Derren Brown's Trick of the Mind (I think) where he "teaches" someone to make others turn around - a different take on the old "stare into the back of the playground bully's head and he'll bleed". I thought I'd try it after watching the show and went to my bedroom window. Saw a bunch of kids my age (about 16 at the time) roughly 50 m away so I thought I'd try it on the one with his back turned - I stared hard into the back of his head and said "turn around" and that second he turned round and stared straight into my eyes. It's a very strange feeling!

Yea, Darren Brown did that trick on a show a few years ago with a woman in London, was very convincing.

Not directly seen anything myself, but the closest would be something that my Mum felt.

My Mum was upstairs with my brother, he was showing her some photos on his computer of the day out he'd just had. My Mum then said:

"Is Fluffy (our cat, naturally) up here?"
My brother:
"No, we let her out about an hour ago for the night"
Mum:
"Oh, I just felt something brush against my leg, it felt just like her"

The next morning we found Fluffy dead in her bed in the garage. She was cold and stiff by then so it's quite likely she passed away at the time of the incident :(

Clambering around the insides of a VC-10 late at night with just a torch gives some really un-nerving experiences. A few times I thought I have seen things or heard sounds but convinced myself its just my mind playing tricks.

God that's freaky! My mum used to tell me to never, ever use a ouija board when i was young. She wouldn't say why however whenever I pestered her about it. But she was sure I should never use one, and I haven't to this day.

You say to her,

"Mum, the ouija board has been demonstrably proven to be an example of the ideomotor effect, whereby subconscious thought causes the glass to be moved unknowingly by the participants. For instance, the ouija board only works when the participants can see the board. It never works when they are blindfolded. Also, it was invented purely as a novelty item that had nothing to do with spirits initially. Hasbro even have the trademark."

I had just come home from my great uncles funeral. I was sitting in my bedroom when my CD player, which had the Phantom of the Opera soundtrack in it, suddenly started playing the first track. Which happens to start with a booming organ sound. My CD player was switched to a high volume at the time. My back had been to it, so the sudden noise literally made me jump out of my seat.

The creepy part is I was sitting well apart from my CD player and the remote control was sitting on top, so theres no way I accidently set it off. Also my uncle was really into classical music/operas/musicals. Always made me wonder...

woke up in the middle of the night when I was about 10 or 11 freezing once to find my duvet had been pulled off the bed and was in the corner of the room, folded neatly. Freaked me right out. No brothers or sisters, and I doubt my mum or dad would have done that! Being logical, somehow, for some reason I did this in my sleep, but either way, pretty weird!

Another time, quite recently, in an old flat I walked into my room with my flatmate, and in the centre of the room was like a mist. It was a summers day, and it was hot, so something (dunno what!!!) must have been evaporating or something, but the two of us just stood there looking at it, then each other wondering what the frack was going on. Turn around to exit the room asap and the door slams behind us. We were laughing, but at the same time kinda freaked by this.

we were heading out for a bit anyway so figured whatever it was would be gone by then.

Well, it wasn't.

We returned later, only to find that the bedroom door was locked, I couldn't get into it. My keys were in the room so I couldn't get in. Fail, I hadn't locked it. Searched around for the spare master key to open the room up, eventually got it, got into the room, window was open and the room was freezing. Like really cold. Combined with the weird mist thing from earlier, this freaked me out, and rightly so!!!!

I like this thread.

this.

However this thread is sending chills down my spine! especially the oiuja board stories, they can't all be lies and hoaxes. Definitely unexplanable circumstances. Saying this I've never done an oiuja board and never want to after reading this. Curiousity did infact kill the cat :p
