What is the generally the consensus on maximum screen size for a Monitor?

imo..

27-30 =1440p..good eyesight reccomended
30+ need more for a monitor pixels than current monitors
24 at 3 feet would be too small for me.

My u27 pretty much fills my vision at 2 feet, wouldnt want a 30.
I have a u24 beside it but prefer 2 monitors to 1 big one

For the guys that are using 30" monitors how far are you sitting from them im asking because thinging of upgrading myself. At the moment have a 24" but just got rid of the TV in the room so looking at the U3011 but after reading this thread a little afraid that it might be to big as I sit around 3 feet away.

I think the size of the screen is irrelevant as you will position the screen so that it is 100% visible without moving your head etc. i had a dell u2711 27" and due to the size i pushed it right back against the wall, i have simce sold it for the 24" benq due to the 120hz capability etc and i found that i pulled it forward slightly and still got the same gaming pleasure.

Its up to you but i think 24 " is the sweet spot for desktop/desk monitors.
