What is the most odd item you've wrongly received on an order?

Years ago, I ordered a full set of stage lighting and related hardware and received a single unpackaged 6’ metal pole with a shipping label wrapped around it. The delivery driver thought it was hilarious :p

I ordered some items for Fishing for a match on a Monday. 3 days later I received someone else's order. Someone else received mine.

I ordered 1KG of worms, 2 pints of casters, 3 bags of ground bait, some hooks, some floats and few other bits My total was £50 roughly.

What I got was a decent diawa rod, 4kg of worms, 4 pints of casters, 4 pints of maggots, 1 bag of groundbait about 5 packs of hooks. I would say the total was £125 in total.

I contacted them and they told me to keep my wrong order and my correct order will be sent out for next day delivery.

My new order come so I ended up with about £175 in total goods for £50.

What a **** up that was! It was only last year as well.

Can’t remember what I was meant to receive now but got a box of body sprays all in different fragrances.. gf actually liked them and Amazon had no clue what happened and told us to keep it.

I ordered an expensive bottle of 40y old port for my brother's birthday.
They took 1 bottle out of a 12 bottle box and sent me the 11.

Contacted them.
They said they'd arrange collection.
Never heard from them again.

Been drinking it ever since.

Years ago, I went through a long phase of collecting Lilo & Stich merchandise. On one of the L&S orders (from eBay), I received the correct item, but also 10 x aeroplane model kits from the same seller. Seller said just to keep them. Flogged them for around £5 a pop over the next couple of months. Have tagged @SixTwoSix as he's an L&S fan like myself :-)

In the 18 years that I've been with Amazon, I've had 2 mistakes from them:

2020 - I ordered Nintendo Switch game, Zelda Link's Awakening and I received 2 cartridges instead of 1. Queried it with live chat and they said to keep both copies. I flogged the extra copy for £35 on eBay which was pretty much RRP.

2022 - I ordered a pair of USB type-C cables and received a watch strap instead. I initiated a return citing incorrect item, handed it over to the Post Office with a QR scan and got reimbursed on the same day. I used that to buy the cables again and they arrived correctly 2nd time round :-)
