What is the most violent city in the world?

Mogadishu?

I'm sure that it would be impossible to tell though. Anywhere that's in the running isn't likely to have very good records.

Sao Paulo must be up there.

aye, sao paulo looked rather rough when i was there. and the hotel staff wouldn't let us leave the hotel on foot. although it was the hilton which is a business hotel so i guess it makes sense.

all the rich people avoid even stepping foot on the ground, much preferring to jet around the city by helicopter :D

but i reckon johannesburg is worse. you watch that louis theroux prog
either that or bogota

Glasgow has/had the highest murder rate in Western Europe.

"18 men, women and children were murdered, pushing the homicide rate to 9.4 per million of the population - twice as high as London, and greater than Manchester, Belfast and New York."

Oh, we also have several areas where murder is the MOST common cause of death in young people. See here:-

Wasn't like that when Taggart was around.

Caracas is pretty bad which is a shame really. Went there 4 years ago when things "weren't so bad" - there were still protests and whatnot, but my gf's family were happy to live there before eventually moving a couple of years ago...
