I've upgraded my GPU a year or two ago but I am still running an i7 950 which is almost six years old. I don't feel the need to change it just yet, it still holds its own and out performs some new processors. So my oldest component would be my motherboard, processor and memory. Perhaps I have a 500 gb hdd which is older and still in use but I was surprised how little progress has been made in regard to processing power.

I have an IDE DVD drive in an old AMD Athlon machine still running, makes a helluva noise if you use it.

I'm not sure. Most of it was bought new in 2011... :p

Oldest gear I use daily is my Dell server which has a dual socket 771 motherboard and ECC DDR2.

Ironically the only original part in my PC is the seagate HDD that I was warned against because OMG seagate!

4 years later still going strong but soon to be replaced with something bigger.

Oldest is my 3TB WD Green. I've had it 2 years & it was about a year old when I bought it.
CPU is 2 years old as well.
Other than that, everything else has been upgraded or changed within the last 18 months.

I remember now why I left PC gaming for a few years....I was always broke ! :D

I bought a Creative X-Fi XtremeMusic shortly after release (10+ years ago!) and its in my current gaming PC - I think that is the only part that is older than 2013.

I have a 939 AMD opteron 185 [ once overclocked to 2.9 GHZ] in an old MSI motherboard with the same 480 watt tagan power supply with a mighty 2 GB of memory with 2 ide optical drives that is still used 2-3 times a week, I do not remember when that cpu was lunched but it has been running ever since [albeit in3 different cases over the years]. That is reliability for you.

I'm cheating because it's not connected up, but I have a floppy drive which I which I salvaged from a blown 486!!

My oldest part is my case. Which must be well over 10 years old (probably nearer 15).

EDIT: My first built in that case was a Duron 1200, 40GB HD, 256mb Ram and a Geoforce MX.

Although it is not actually in my system. The oldest component I use on a daily basis is my mouse. It is a Microsoft Basic Optical Mouse from years and years ago (it is at the very least 10 years old but most likely a lot older than that).

It is so old it has started to discolour and the scroll wheel has worn down to basically nothing. It also sucks at playing FPS games because it isn't very accurate.

I have a mouse on order though that is due on the 11th of February which I am looking forward to getting. It'll make a big difference to my daily computer usage and should help with productivity as well.

I do have to say though that this mouse is built like a tank and has worked without trouble for its entire life. Not bad for a cheap mouse that probably cost less than £20 when new.

Has to be my mouse. I bought 3 MS optical wheel mice (the one with a red led in them) in a short space of time many moons ago. one packed up but this one & the other are still working. They get filthy, but a wet wipe & screwdriver to get the dust out works wonders.

That said, I still have a 1st generation SATA 2 200gig Samsung Hard drive (I bought 2 to try Raid 0 for the 1st time in 2005 & regretted it afterwards when the board failed) I only use it for backup now as its so slooowwww.....

In this box, probably the 4-port USB 2 plate, which must be a decade old at least. The rest is only 3 years old at best. I also have a couple of mATX cases - Jeantech micro Titan - of that vintage.

I've got a Shuttle SB51G system which dates from around 2002. It still works, and is kept for TOCA 2.

I've got HDDs hanging around which are even older.

I've got a Suncom joystick which dates from 1999.

Stored away somewhere I have an ICL 386 box I used to use for playing Wing Commander. That's over 20 years old.

Case and the Barracuda are the only parts left from my original 2007 build. Everything else has been replaced or upgraded at some point, although even then much of it is quite old. :D
