well my ps3 hasnt been turned on in about a month, so far i have 4 games, motorstorm, resistance, def jam icon and full auto 2, i even went out and bought a bluetooth headset to use online, but since most other people dont have one i dont know if it works or not, all the games seem very poor, my 360 gets used every other day, i wish i never upgraded to vista because source crashes evey 2 mins otherwise i would be playing CS all the time, is there anything worthwhile on the ps3, tekken was good for a while from their store, everything else was just cack, people may think this is a fanboy comment but i genuinely think the ps3 is cack and a waste of money, anyone who defends it is a fanboy, yeas its powerful, yes its well built, but all the games are **** so whats the point?

rant over, also i dont like the wii even though ive never played one, hopefully next gen the xbox 3 will have killer games out every month
 
The software lineup for the PS3 is poor at the moment there's no doubt about that.

It shouldn't be too much of a problem to wait for the decent games to arrive given that you have a 360 as well, might be a problem for those who only have a PS3.

I've just bought a few of the last gen games I missed out on so they'll do for me now.
 
I have a 360 and the PS3 doesnt even interest me if im honest, But as the above poster said, why not try some of the last gen games? I know people dont buy PS3's to play PS2 games but I hear people raving about God of War etc.

Im jusy happy with the Halo 3 Beta atm :D
 
See how much dust it can collect in a day, then wipe it off and try to get more the following day. Thats all mine seemed to do with the exception of the rare occasion id watch a movie on it or something. Ended up selling it as it just sat there.
 
It really does collect dust like no other electrical item I've ever had.

It also scratches very easily. Not deep scratches, very fine scratches that you can only see under a light. It's not really a problem, but it would obviously be preferable that it didn't pick up scratches so easily.
 
You aren't exactly making it clear what you like, so this is just another flaming post. I'd say it wasn't, but then, for no reason, you say you don't like the Wii, even though you've never tried it. How can you dislike something you've never tried?
If you were to state what exactly your problem with the games was, you might get some decent suggestions.

resistance is okay online, i say okay because most of the time you cant get decent ranked matches and nobody has a headset, so its just like playing with very intelligent bots, i like to talk to people whilst playing, motorstorm is good 1 player, again online is just like hard 1 player with nobody talking, def jam icon got so hard in single player it is now impossible to get past the guy im on, full auto sucked hard after 10 minutes, and i took genji back

the wii doesnt appeal to me, and ive now heard from a lot of people it has lost its appeal after playing it for a few weeks, i thought that would happen, although there are good games that are out for it and ones coming out, its more of a kids console, and if you disagree with that statement i also cant justify buying yet another console, so the wii isnt an option, my 360 gets used every other day yet i aint turned my ps3 on in a month maybe longer

the games i do like i already have on the 360, and now it seems like most games will be on both consoles, with the 360 having a much better online system i see myself buying mostly for the 360, but is there any decent new ps3 games out there yet?

i loved crackdown on the 360 i think it has been the best game made yet along with gears of war, although gears of war sucked online, the only thing bad i can say about the 360 is i have had 2 die on me but both were replaced by microsoft, other than that it truely is the better console at the moment, when home and decent titles come out this may change but i doubt it.

when is home coming out? if they say its due in 3 months, then it should be out in a years time sony always pushes its dates back further and further, this generation has been a big dissapointment, gran tursimo hd was meant to be GT4 but in HD but turned out to just be a demo, and they scrapped GT-HD for GT5 which wont be out for about 2-3 years, there are no worthwhile games at the moment and are there any exclusives coming out soon? if not then i might just sell my console.

put it this way ive not even turned it on to update the firmware thats how badly im bored of it, yet i update the firmware on my sony phone every month
 
What a suprise - another person who bought a launch console and is then complaining about lack of titles! You really should have thought it through before buying it really. Actually, why not do what some others have done and sell it rather than waiting for the decent games which will be coming out later in the year?

Yeah, and it seems to me that by saying "anyone who defends the PS3 is a fanboy" this thread is a place for all the 360 fanboys to merge and tell each other how good the 360 is.
 
I got a 360 on launch and i never had any complaints about the games out, i think it had far better launch titles specially with pgr3 i waisted a long time on that, i would love to have a ps3 now i like the look of the F1 game, motorstorm and Resistance, pretty good launch games imo.

Sounds like you made a mistake buying the PS3 in the first place. What were you expecting when you dropped 400 notes on it?. Let's not forget the machine is only a shade over 2 months old in the UK, so far the machine has been all I expected. The only slight disappointment for me being the current lack of games (and I wasn't expecting too much too soon in the first place).
 
Not wanting to have a go at the OP, but it was a well known that the PS3 software line up was going to be poor (not in quality but quantity), till June time. Trying to compare this with a console thats been out for 18 months software wise is a bit silly imo. Looks like the gaming drought starts to end come June, with Ninja Gaiden Sigma, R6vegas, The Darkness to name a few. In July Lair is out plus a few others.
This week the RFOM servers are going to be open worldwide so may find some better ranked matches, and more headset use then, also theres a couple of new maps. Next week the Motorstorm patch and a few reworked courses are released aswell, and a bit later on new vehicle and track packs will be available.
Also i know its not a PS3 game, but you have to try GOW 2 its fantastic and i think it looks much better since upscaling has been enabled for PS1/2 games.
 
I can understand why people bough it at launch, it was the 'promises' made regarding the release schedule of PS3 titles...

I can see where the OP is coming from, my PS3 gets much less use then my 360, but then I bought it cheap as something to mess around with.. I can afford to wait until some decent titles arrive, but lets face it it's not going to be for some months yet..

To condemn him for believing Sony and the media is as harsh as his backlash..

I'd just say its a painful lesson learned..

In balance, I had a launch 360, and I have to say althouh a little sparse, there was no shortage of decent titles to buy through it's launch year...
 
I didn't buy my PS3 on the back of 'promised' games, I can't imagine any 360 owner would when they already own a system for which most will be available.

And the 360 had a good 4 or 5 months before it hit the summer games drought, the PS3 has hit it almost head on.

Neither did I, but I know plenty of people that did.. not calling them naive as such, more sucked in..

Like you say, with the staged PS3 launch, the Europe PS3 is slap bang it the middle of the drought.. I think the US have had a worse time with nothing significant coming out for a further 4-5 months!...

Exactly, this is the reason I haven't bothered getting a PS3, the lack of games. Most of the games you can get for it you can get for the 360 and since I already own a 360 what's the point in buying a PS3 when I can pay ~£40 for the game for the 360.
 
You can fold at home, watch BR movies, play PS2 games, connect wireless (it's built right in there) Look in envy at the US store, dust it but be careful not to scratch it, other than that not sure what you can do with it :)
 
I use my PS3 more than my 360 at the moment and have done since i got it. The only thing i play on my 360 at the moment is Halo 3 beta and that sparingly as i don't want to spoil the final game.

My PS3 gets used for Blu-Rays as i'm building my collection every week, i'm still trying to finish off Motorstorm (Damn later stages are bloody impossible). Along with that i'm busy playing VF5, completing Resistance FOM co-op with a mate when he's round and playing RFOM and Calling All Cars online multiplayer. With regards to headset, in Motorstorm theres plenty of Headset only games and in most RFOM matches i've played theres always people talking.

Along with that i have PS1 games from the US store to play when i have a chance and Guantlet 2 multi to give a proper bash. And at the end of June i hope to add Ninja Gaiden Sigma and The Darkness to my PS3 collection. There's not much on the 360 which interests me at the moment asides from Halo 3.

As people have said above, you can't criticise a console 2-3months down the line for still lacking games. It's happened with the other 2 "next-gen" consoles as well. Both the Wii and 360 suffered from a lack of Triple AAA titles for around 6 months.

yuuup. the amount of people buying a £400 console and then complaining about it is quite worrying. I wouldnt spend £400 on something i didnt research first, and that is why i have no problems with my ps3 because i know what i wanted from it.


its a case of more money than sense perhaps? i mean come on, it cant be because people are spending £400 just to jump on a bandwagon, can it? or can it?
