What is white privilege?

That's your choice as a consumer, you can vote with your wallet.

Their choice as a multi-national company is to support causes, as they wish.

Indeed.

The silent majority will probably be annoyed bu their virtue signalling and may well do their business harm. But if they prefer to appease the minority of lefty wokes then thats up to them i guess.

I hope this is the case, but a lot of people seem to just go with the flow.

A webpage they've had written themselves? It's pretty easy to support a cause that you've created. However, as I said in my original response, that tweet and a number of others are not even factual so it doesn't support what they're saying.

They should stick to making ice cream, not causes. Also INB4 "white supremaceh isn't made up!" because I've disagreed with their narrative of the situation.

Ben and Jerry's is crappy ice-cream anyway, plenty of decent alternatives.

Twitter is good for one thing though in that it lets you know what silly virtue signalling companies to stop buying from.

White Privilege is the excuse black people use for all their problems, instead of taking responsibility for them.

Nail. On. Head.

"oh i did rubbish at school even thou i had the same classes, teachers, books and time as my white friends, but lets blame the white man for my failings" :/

I dunno, we do a lot, and I mean A LOT, of market research and focus groups, and company ethics, values and other 'SJW' attributes are continually the top scoring things that consumers care about.

And that is across a number of demographics, as all good market research should be, with it only being (slightly) less important to the older generation, who realistically aren't seen has high-lifetime-value propositions any more.

Slap a billion dollar tax on them for making large tubs that obese people eat in one sitting in front of their TV sets. Well maybe a slightly lesser sum but you know what I'm saying.

. . .
What is breaking down statues then ? That is history !
. . . councils especially in London agreeing to remove the “ones they find offensive”. It’s facts and that’s what happened. You cannot take something down because a new ideological way of thinking suddenly finds them offensive.
. . .
Statues are not history!

Statues are monuments to certain selective characteristics of individuals. I would imagine that even you would be unhappy to see statues of Hitler, Mugabe, Gerry Adams or other people stuck up around London . . . perhaps not, as they are after all historical figures.

Now can you show me something I said that’s racist ?? I’m a bit offended by that slander
If the cap fits mate, if the cap fits . . .

ps - you do seem to take offence very easily ;)

"Get Woke, Go Broke"

Except Black Panther....and Captain Marvel....and The Last of Us Part II....and Nike....etc etc.

Captain Marvel who has basically been removed from the mcu. Black panther which when adjusted for inflation was out earned by fully half of the mcu films. It's distinctly mid table.
The last of us 2 which got absolutely hammered on metacritic until there was a dedicated sjw campaign to upvote it.

Yeah, but I'm talking about the opposite - people rejecting companies for promoting SJW narratives, which are very fashionable at them moment and are therefore a good way to get publicity.

Never let the truth get in the way of a good story now @Dis86

ooi are they streaming revenues too ?
since cinema visits in usa are lot more common amongst black community, with the potential for lucrative add-ons
mind if I have some of your tasty beverage to wash this down with?

stop&search - good interview by Cresda Dick last on C4, last night clearly rebuffed, the accusations -
https://www.channel4.com/news/met-p...-dick-responds-to-institutional-racism-claims
34K arrests from Stop&search who knew ? didn't give time-frame, but,
said that the high injury/stabbing amongst black community from other blacks justified the disproportionate S&S

I wait with baited breath to hear how Ben & Jerrys is going to "dismantle white supremacy"... one ice-cream at a time..

What a bunch of plonkers.

Yes, and from what we actually see, all those boycotting SJW-esque companies are borderline inconsequential for those companies, literal vocal minority.
