Hi all,

I have got Netgear D7000 connected to my master socket and long external ethernet cable connect to BT Home Hub 5.

I have setup the BT HOME HUB 5 so that it only acts as an access point.

All my devices can connect to it easily and works fine. PC(via ethernet), PS4, X1, Sky Box, iPhone and Harmony Smart Hub. The only device that gives me headache is the MacBook Pro, it just can can't establish connection straightaway and then eventually it connects.

Anyone know what can be causing this or a way to solve this.

Thanks

I thought there's a known issue with the HH5, 5GHz and some Apple devices. Try knocking off 5GHz and see if that changes things.

First thing I do with all my family BT Homehubs is change the WiFi SSID's for the 5Ghz. Never a fan of not being able to choose personally but yeah, avoids this issue in the long run as well.

My wife has the same trouble with her Iphone..

I have a Unifi Access point controlling wifi around the home and her phone always randomly drops off for no reason at all.. all other wireless devices seem fine..

I've got the same Access Point and I've noticed once or twice in the past year that I have to turn wifi off then on again on my iPhone but that's it.
