Pentax K100D.
Could do with a larger buffer for continual shooting.

Shutter quite load
Nikon D80
-No mirror-lock up function (for shooting, not for cleaning).
I'm pretty sure mine has the ability to lock the mirror up before a shot is taken>? So there is a delay after pressing the shutter button.....Or am i going mad?
Love my D80, one custom function button does suck a little
That's not what mirror lock up is. Mirror lock up when shooting prevents the mirror slapping up as the shutter opens, and the accompanying potential camera-shake; you compose, flip up the mirror, then when you press the shutter the only vibrations come from the shutter opening and vibrations are thus as minimised as is physically possible (presuming use of a tripod).
I must be way of the mark then, I thought that the D80 locked up the mirror slight delay and then the shutter would fire....So reducing the vibration caused by the mirror?
Option 31 - Exp Delay Mode in the cusom settings menu states....
Select "On" to reduce camera shake due to mirror shock. Delays shutter release until about 0.4 seconds after the mirror is raised
Oh, when you said a delay after pressing the shutter release I thought you meant the timer. Still, that's not really true mirror lockup; you can't use it with the continuous drive mode, for example, which means if you want to compose and then take a series of shots you have the mirror slapping up and down continuously.
