What is your earliest memory?

I remember being on holiday when I was about 3, just a few very vivid scenes, like being in the airport, and the hotel.

I was probably around 3 or 4 at the time, and just had memories rushing back of climbing up the climbing frame to the top to wave to my mum when she was coming to pick me up from nursery, also of using the go cart at nursery to drive some other kids along in a trailer.

Also a quite pleasant thing for me is that I never drink milk and I had some a few months back, and all these memories of nursery came rushing back to me and I could just close my eyes and I'd be back there, it was so vivid and it would have been because the only time I regularly drank milk was in nursery.

I remember recieving a toy petrol station for my 3rd birthday, I also remember using a big yellow dumper truck toy to escape from my cott and being told off by my uncle, I was either 2 or 3 then. I've got a couple of other vague memories of my first years in that house, we moved when I was 3, and my memories of our next house are much clearer.

Probably when i was about 3 aswell..

Managed to not stop a garage door from closing using my thumb in the hinge..

it just doesnt work..

blood.. everywhere.. me not a happy bunny..

and all because i followed my sister around everywhere..

I had that recently, not with milk but with Malted Milk biscuits. I had one for the first time as far as I can recall since pre-school and wow it was fantastic. What I would give to be 3 again... :D

I suppose one of my earliest memories is of my dad being in hospital with pneuomonia :(.

One of my earlist memories is being on holiday with my parents and gran at Whitby. I remember us staying in a cottage and dad lifting my into a tree :)

A rather painful first memory of having my stomach tore open by a brick when I was 4/5 years old. Tripped and fell in the garden onto probably the sharpest bridge corner of a wall ever lol. Also drank paint thinner the same month and it burned all my mouth and chest where it missed my mouth lol.

Hurray for childhood!

I have 2, I don't know which was first:

1) Choking on the first brussels sprout I ever tried at lunchtime, it was so scary.

2) Standing in the playground wearing this white coat and being pushed and bullied because I had put up my hood because it was starting to rain and it was cold.

Awwwwww!!

Right now, the earliest memory I have is waking up in a hotel bed in the lake district inbetween my parents annoying them to take me to feed the ducks despite it being very early. I also had sunburnt feet from when we'd been out on the boat the day before :o Think I was about 5. There must be an earlier memory, but I can't think right now!

I can't really remember what my earliest memory is. I have loads of memories from when I was younger but I'm not sure if I remember them because I've been told they happened and/or have seen pictures or because I can actually remember them. I hope that makes sense. I'm also unsure what age I was in these memories. At a guess it would probably be wiping the contents of my potty all over my mum and dads bedroom walls.

I remember biting someone in pre-school (was about 3) because they stole some toy off me.

haha *strokes toy*

Other than that I remember lots of odd memories, but I can't pinpoint the exact age. These include my brother's 4th birthday (I was 4/5) and a bouncey castle! I also remember trying to swim at 5. My dad took off my arm bands and plonked me in the water. Next thing I remember is i'm sinking seeing it get darker and darker around me and then see my dad swim down and get me. I also remember getting lost in a market when I was about 4 I guess. I remember looking at some toys with my mum, then I look back up and it wasn't her! I remember crying and then seeing my dad come get me.

I do actually also remember climbing into my brothers cot and trying to play games when he was tiny (2 y/o). So i would've been about 3 then. I can also remember vivid memories of my grandparents who both died when I was about 8 :( (I never knew my dad's parents).

Heh, lovely and reflective :p

I remember when I was about 4 at Drusillas Park/Zoo and I ran into a wooden post and cut my head open :/

And also falling over in my garden and hitting my head on the corner of a stone flower pot thing, I still have the scar just above my eye.

I really should have been more careful :p

i think i was 3 or 4 years old, id just had a bath and i tried to go naked ninja and climb over that fence thing we had to stop kids from going up and down stairs (im sure you know the ones)

Cracking my head on the TV aerial on the loft whilst I was walking across the boards to fetch my banny (awwwww :p ). I was about 2 at the time. I remember being sat in the car on the way to the emergency docs with Mum pressing stuff against my head to try and stop the bleeding.

The funny thing is that my parents say I fell and hit my head on the typewriter. Both me and my brother remember it completely differently. I am absolutely positive that I walked into the aerial. I even have a prong-shaped scar on my forehead. Strange.

I remember going on a picnic with my dad and coming home with my mum.... :D

No, my earliest memory is putting my hand on an electric cooker ring when I was about 2 and a half when I was trying to climb up when my Auntie Jean was looking after me. I distinctly remember seeing smoke and flames, although I don't have any scars from it.

She wasn't my real Aunite, she cleaned for my mum and dad, she was all worried that my mum and dad wouldn't let her look after me any more. She still looked after me when I was 14 :).

(I miss my Auntie Jean :()

First memory I have was visiting a pub in the North East with just my Mum and Dad. I once described the place practically perfectly to my Mum to find out that the last time they'd been there she was pregnant with me! No joke.

Next one I remember very clearly is from when I was about 2, heard a noise downstairs and went down to find a fox in the kitchen. Being 2 I wasn't scared of it, but I was upset it had eaten all of my cats food! :p

I also remember a couple of weeks later my Aunt and Uncle were down visiting us. Once again my sister and I had been put to bed, but I remember being allowed to get up again and tried prawns, whelks and cockles for the first time. :)

Thing is I have memories from all through my childhood starting from about 1 but my Mum needs to fill in some of the blanks.
