The Halo ST always made me want to go on a rampage of vengeance.

7th Guest used to scare the be-jesus out of me, or was it Sanitarium? Either way, pants were soiled.

anything from the Medal of Honor or Call of Duty series - some good arrangements.

The Last Ninja - Ben Daglish, Commodore 64

Video game music stopped being any good the second consoles/PCs came with CD drives. Composers were no longer limited by the systems audio hardware (synthesizer, number of channels, sample size etcetera). Obviously some games on the PS1 and Saturn still used synth/sampled music for space reasons, but from then on, things started to go down hill.

I honestly can't remember a game on any system since the N64 where i've thought "wow", that sounds awesome. It's only got worse since they started using commercial music on games.

C64 video game music reigns supreme for having a collection of genius composers (Rob Hubbard, Tim Follin, Martin Galway, Ben Daglish, David Whittaker, Jeroen Tel......) and iconic music. The Amiga wasn't far behind either, but more for its demo scene music.

My video game/demo music collection (Amiga, C64, Snes, NES, Mega drive) far out numbers my mp3 collection, by at least 140:1. I'm a big fan, and it's all in it's native format.

If we're talking music that I personally like it would have to be Vice City. The Tony Hawk games also have some good music. If we're talking music that fits the game then the MGS series is very good and of course final fantasy.

Amon Tobins Splinter Cell Chaos Theory sound track is beyond awesome. Not the type of music id normally like but after playing a couple of levels in the game i had to buy the cd and im glad i did.
