What is your favourite meal of all time?

You know, it’s probably the most boring meal possible, but I’ve always got room in my belly for a well cooked plate of simple egg and chips, with salt, vinegar and red/brown sauce depending on my fancy.

To turn it into a dinner, I often just add a few slices of good quality gammon ham.

Gammon Steak with egg and pineapple is one of my fave's. Its my go to if I can't decide what to have when I'm out!

I remember it varying as a child, depending on what ingredients were available as we didn't have a lot of money back then.
Basically potato, carrot, turnip, onion, pork/lamb/beef. Bit of bisto.
It was always better the next day, after the potatoes had started to break down a bit.

Starter: Prawn cocktail
Main: Surf & Turf (Porterhouse Steak and chips with scampi. Sides of macaroni cheese, sauteed mushrooms and garden peas)
Dessert: Rum Baba or a Fantasy island

The 70s were the best.
