What is your iPhone battery health (and how old)?

Bit the bullet and had my iPhone 11 battery replaced yesterday for £69 from Apple. Was degraded to 76% so nice to have +24% extra again. Also treated to an Elago silicone case from the rainforest (£11.89) and iOS 16 - feels like a new iPhone !

Mentioned about the new iPhone 14 battery replacements being more expensive - which came as a surprise when they checked!
What can I say.
I’m more on the ball then my colleagues haha

I swear my 12’s battery has been rubbish since I upgraded to ios 16. Fully charged at 5:45 this morning and just hit 20%. Might have to get the battery swapped out since I plan to get this for another year.

Out of interest how quickly did they turn the replacement battery around in ?

iPhone 11, had for just shy of 2 years now. 99% of my charging is on a wireless Satechi dock at night. Still has 85% battery health - still gets me through the day, even with heavy use.

Was looking at the 14 Pro Max (went into the Apple Store at the weekend to have a fondle) but I'm going to hold out till they see sense and give us USB-C.

Not much time has passed but 6 months on my 13 Mini and it still has 100%.
No wireless charging at all, the heat will kill the battery faster.
And I always charge at around 20% up until 80-90%.

Maybe a few more years yet until the USB-C connector gets implemented on the iPhone, it's coming but we don't know when.

Apple will change because they would want to adhere to EU legislation in 2024:

I don't think they'll jump to a connector-less phone as wireless connection/charging isn't very good, they would still need some kind of debug port for repairs.

Had an oddity with my launch day iPhone 11 last night. I put it on charge when I went to bed as usual and it made the charging chirp. When I woke up this morning it was still showing 20% and there was no charging symbol. The lightning port is clean as a whistle. I unplugged and plugged it back in again and it started charging. Within about 15 mins it was showing 100%. I've just come home from work it's down to 82%. I'm only using the standard 5w charger

This is the battery condition

Is the bit under peak performance normal? I'm sure it used to say something else

Looking at getting this sorted now as i was in the hospital yesterday and i turned onto power saver at 40% and was getting pretty low later in the day.

Has anyone done the send by mail service rather than the take in and sort while you wait?

XS (not max). 75% Capcity. Should probably look at getting the battery replaced since I'm waiting for Apple to release a USB-C phone before upgrading.

I believe Apple's recommendation is to have the battery replaced when it drops below 80%. I had it done at the Apple Store a few years back with a previous iPhone, quite a painless experience and I had the phone back inside an hour. It's £69 for the XS.

You will have to book an appointment before going.
