What IT Certificates do you have?

after 8/9 years working in IT, all I have is stuff which is relevent to my actual job!
Now im back working though I'm going to start doing a few courses for other IT stuff as my general IT knowledge is very poor!

No GCSEs or A levels at all, but im on my 2nd to last year of my ICT degree, and currently on a cisco accademy course for a CCNA.

I've got a BSc hons in Computing, MCSA2003, CSSA and hopefully as from next Wednesday CCA.

Does it matter? Urm, debatable really. I get paid to do them and also the company I work for need a certain amount of certifications for accreditations (MS gold partner, Citrix partner etc).

Experience wins every time; however, to have a few certifications under your belt as well will do no harm.
I’ve recently been interviewing for staff and you can tell instantly whether somebody knows what they are talking about irrespective of qualifications.

I have a degree in computer science , 5 mcp's, a couple of certificates in bpm and thats about it, however none of these are half as important as industry experience.

HND IT Practitioners.

Could never spell that word right.

I T?

Great course wasnt it,

Got that along with 2 MCP's, Btec ND IT, ECDL and was working in IT since 15, Some of the jobs I have been offered, experience tends to win over I find, although relevant M$ cert's usually get you an interview :)

Haven't been able to get an IT related job yet. :(

Going back to college in the summer to do the foundation degree in networking.

Ahh Im debating to do some certs after my degree, not really sure I have the money right now anyway.

Will have to see how the job market treats me.

But apart from most of a degree and a few years experiance I have nothing.

AVCE ICT

BSc Computing and Networks

Currenty studying:

MCITP: Server Administrator

and after that:

MCITP: Enterprise Messaging Administrator.

Perhaps a little premature me doing this course (only 22, 1.5 years of industry experience) but my employer is paying all my fees for it, and I'm very interested in what I've learnt so far from the Server Admin course. Would've been stupid to turn down that offer!

I managed to get a part time job whilst at college/uni, working for a PC builder, and that experience really helped, infact, it did me more good than the courses did :)
