what jeans

Topman slim fit are nice and range around £20-30

All Saints are very good quality and only cost around £55-65 but their sizing seems to vary from style to style a lot so definitely go try a few pairs on.

I've sworn by D2 jeans for some time now. I was bricking it when they ent into administration a while back....

I have a pair of incredibly comfortable Top Man jeans I must have bought around 6 years ago. They have a couple of marks that won't come out in the wash but for lounging about in they are spot on. I bought them in the sale at the time but the RRP was relatively high so they must have been from their premium range when new.

Levis should not wear out quickly, I would expect 5 years minimum from a pair of Levis (assuming you don't get them dirty/stained etc)

I have bought quite a few pairs of jeans recently from brands I've never tried before (Bench, ASOS own brand, Kangaroo Poo, Fenchurch)
I'll be interested to see how they wear.

True but there are trendy jeans in next and old man kfc jeans.

You could say the same about Levi jeans though. :p

Guess what brand you wear really depends on what style you like and what your body shape is. G-Starr and those sort always look a little silly to me, with to many bits all over the place. Levi and those sort are just too plain (all one colour and quite stiff). It's why I ended up with jeans from the likes of Next and Topman/Burton, reasonable fit, slightly faded in the right places and flexible enough that it doesn't feel like your legs have been sealed in concrete.:p

EDIT: As for those that have jeans that are years old I assume they aren't your standard wear? There is no way you could wear jeans all day for 1-3 days a week and have them last for 6-10 years! I have 2-3 pairs of jeans that I wear day in, day out for a year or two before they start to fall to bits and get replaced with another pair.

For most of the day I am wearing office attire.

Those of us that pay £120+ on a pair of jeans probably don't wear them during rock climbing weekends/gardening/building jobs etc. This may explain how we make them last as long as they do :)

I wear my Uniqlo Japanese Selvedge nearly every day and have done for the last year, they're not showing any signs of falling apart.

By far the best £30 I've spent on a piece of clothing, they're £50 now but still well worth it. Better than Levis and Cheap Mondays that I've had.

A year is fine, my jeans last a couple normally. It was aimed at those that say their expensive jeans last years (obviously because they are better than normal price jeans), even though they probably only wear them for a few hours a week...:p

I usually buy Burton's, I can't remember the exact 'model' but it's the 2 for £30 (or £40, I forget) ones. They usually last 3-4 months of constant wearing.

Can't say I've ever had a problem with my jeans not lasting, I rarely wash them mind.

I have a pair of Etienne Ozeki's that are like 5 years old, still going strong, most of my jeans are around £30/£40.

G star jeans always do me proud - expensive admittedly, but I bought a pair for £90 2 years ago, and the crotch area has only just worn away - worn quite a lot aswell, so quite impressed really.

Same goes for Henri Lloyd aswell.

That's my problem. I could make a pair of jeans last years if it wasn't for the crotch area wearing away. The rest of the jeans are always fine.
