What Kit to Get Started

I didn't think it was the knowledge of the roads that would cause issues, more the lack of complete control over the bike and the chance you would panic if something unexpected happened and you had to react. Most people would be fine but some people would panic and hit the throttle or slam on their front brake.

I suppose it's possible for some people but I felt in control of my 125cc bikes pretty much from day one, although we all make mistakes.

The parts of biking where I feel like I'm always learning is cornering which I'm still not the most confident person and reading the roads. I've been involved in 2 accidents and had numerous near misses in only my first 12 months of riding but I feel I know my roads now and I've come to accept how car drivers & other motorists see bikes and how to for the most part stay safe. I think I may be dead if I had just gone out and got a CBT and a motorbike at 17 though.

Now I just have to conquer motorways.

Yeah, doing this on a 125 and you'll get a way with it... on a 600? 8000rpm and dumping the clutch?
