What made you choose your partner?

She got drunk and came onto me. She caring, kind, far to polite and puts up with my crap jokes and my mess, can't ask for a better girlfriend!

It was between her and this other girl. Liked both, but my girlfriend was better looking - despite what my friends thought - and was a lot more fun than the other one.

Plus the one that I turned down was friends with a lot of my friends before they were friends with me and so it would have probably got pretty awkward with them upon breaking up.

My girlfriend picked me because she also thought I was a lot hotter than the other guy she was seeing and that the other guy was an ****hole in a bad way (she says I'm an ****hole in a good way, whatever that means).
 
He's gorgeous, he had a wicked sense of humour and he made me feel special. Plus the fact that as we both belonged to the same car club before we got together it meant we already had loads in common. He is 3.5 years my junior. Toyboys are great.
 
Not the gf just yet. Only one date under the belt atm... so far I'd describe her as awesome :D Highly intelligent, cheeky, funny and sporty with long flowing blonde hair. I do feel a slight click too..:eek: sooo we'll see how it goes :D
 
Talked to her briefly once before when she came out with a friend of mine, thought she was really cute. When we met the second time we were both pretty drunk I was off to the bar and asked if she wanted a drink, when I came back we locked lips for about an hour lol....Went back to hers but nothing happened, but I could tell she was a quality girl and not one night stand material at all.

Things just grew from there....she seemed intelligent and independent but with a shy coy side, I wanted to find out more.

I first met her in 1972 and she was into Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple etc.
I then had a couple of years where I went with different girls but none of them could put up with my gigging and rock music.
One sunday night I decided to go to her church with my church (I was a 'born again' back then) and we arranged a date.
Our very first date was seeing the film Tommy and our 2nd date was watching Pink Floyd at Trentham Gardens in 1974.
We have been together 34 years and just because she liked rock music.

HOWEVER, around 1980 we were watching Motorhead and she fell asleep.
Around 1981 we were watching Budgie and half way through she asked me who they were.
I very nearly ended it.
