What "man jobs" have you done today?

Not much today, been fitting Doors and drawer fronts to the new kitchen units, just to find out Howdens have shorted me two doors :( will have to wait until wednesday for them to be delivered.

almost lifted all my monoblock now. One wee strip left where my bins are then I'll be left with a brown mess. Got to then break out some stone for the raised grass area which is being removed. I think I've missed the boat on getting grass seed sewn so I'll have to make do with a brown garden over the winter and get cracking on the rest of it next year :( Should be able to get all my hard landscaping done over the next month or so when i have the odd hour to spare here and there!

EDIT

Got that final strip on the right removed now. Next job is to fill in a hole in my lounge where a flue pipe used to be. The brick has been filled in now to sort out the interior plasterboard.

Had an issue with dodgy tiles (more blue than grey) that I couldn't use. So had to centralise the grout line rather than a tile as otherwise I didn't have enought tiles. Hence the slim end bits :(. Hopefully it won't look too bad.

Can't you just order some more? Might not look too bad but it will forever bug you, especially so if you're going to be living in it.

As I said in your thread, I like those tiles a lot.

They were end of line a year ago and couldn't find anymore :(. Superceramica Carlston grey from Spain.

I was pleased I worked out a way to cover the wall to be honest :D

Fitted the sink and plumbed it all in, the kitchen is getting there, not much left to do although we do have to source some tiles.....

When we first moved into our new home, the garden was a sorry sight. But after a bit of graft, we have managed to turn it into something much nicer.

We just need to finish off building the raised bed on the right.

Finished raking stone out on drive -- This bit is gold plated - was one bag short so ordered another bag -- They were taking the Michael but had no choice.

I was up in the loft again this evening doing a bit more boarding.

The plan is to get it all done so we can put all the boxes which are currently in the spare room up there, leaving the room clear so we can move everything from the lounge into the spare room while we decorate and build storage etc...

It will look a bit like this when finished and be bolted into a 7. Should be very naughty.... :D

Someone I know online through a real life good friend has a 7 with a cosworth turbo engine in it. It's a beast!

Better spec now too.

As for me, today I mowed the lawn, but I don't have any before/after pictures. Was a lot easier than last time, Mountfield are definetly better than Flymo!

Drilled and fitted the hood vent (first time using a 4inch core drill) in the kitchen today as well as installed the new washing machine and kickboards to the now very nearly finished Kitchen!

I prefer to use Rectangular Flat Channel ducting now, simple to hide, & most cowled vents, gravity shutter vents, have rectangular spigot usually 110x54mm or 225x75mm size(standard airbrick size), a lot easier to fit instead of drilling a 4" hole.
