What "man jobs" have you done today?

Quite ridiculous really, £800 for a virgin media manhole and £1100 for a street light to be moved 2 metres so I could drop the kerb, that cost £1400. :(

I feel your pain... I had to pay the thick end of £2k for BT to move a telegraph pole 10 meters up the hill. I wouldn't mind but my Grandad asked for it to be put in the position I then had to move it from .....

That's just lazy. :p
Makes zero sense to park away from my house, I’ve paid it now so it’s done :p

Same happened to me, 2 months before I moved into this house, next door had the street light moved from the middle of their garden to right outside mine :(

Anyone know whether this fireplace is intended to have logs/fire on that grill at the bottom? If I lift the grill, it has a basket underneath. Do I need any other parts?

I've burnt some newspaper and it comes out the chimney and the flue looks open, but planning on getting it checked!

using a grate will aid starting a fire although one is not totally necessary, but will aid in keeping logs from rolling off.

Tidied my garage bench. A mate then rang so I sat on my swivel chair and slowly kept turning round - Why do we hoard so much junk. - Mine is all neatly stacked in bins on the shelves so it's not untidy -- Just full of stuff I might need one day - I can tell you this for certain -It will outlast me.

Not so much a man job, but painting a bedroom, I have just the 2nd coat to do in a couple of hours, I really hate painting but will be pleased when its finally finished, only taking me almost 2 months on and off to decorate the room!

Got round to sorting a storm / wind felled tree in the back garden

What did you use to cut the medium logs, looks a nice clean cut upon them?

Nothing exciting

fixed a couple of broken slats on the garden fence and steam cleaned and sterilised a couple of taxis
