I'm also going to use the hard-floor underlay I bought and take up the carpet one.
Good plan, they typically don't warranty the flooring unless you use their or equivalent underlay.

Paging moon manWho said carpet underlay works perfectly. As said the boards will break the locking mechanism if there is any movement
What's with the insulation, didn't realise it was necessary. All done, I'm knackered, more from carting my office downstairs again. Still need some more trunking which is on order then I'll finish off tidying up the cables. There's a lot as I have my gaming PC (which I use as a screen for my work MacBook), a second monitor for a customer laptop/personal MacBook and then two Dell workstations. Oh, I also need the bit of wood that will go between the tiles and the laminate.
It's underlay? What's with the insulation, didn't realise it was necessary.
I've not seen silvered backed stuff before. Thought you'd go for the typical fibre stuff. It's underlay?
Foil is for the vapour layer Should be taped if a ground floor really but doubt it matters hereI've not seen silvered backed stuff before. Thought you'd go for the typical fibre stuff.
