You'd almost be better putting a length of wood down across the corner so it is at 45 degrees to both walls and painting it the same colour... It would likely blend in better.
Didn't realise you could even get 720p anymore. Whatever you do with the wire, trunking bit of wood whatever, just make sure it goes up behind the TV a bit as it will blend in a lot better.

Oh my gosh!! I mean I completely respect the fact you just wanted a cheap TV to watch the news but you have just shot yourself back in time with that one. It's quite frankly terrible and has made a reasonable decent looking kitchen look horrible.
As an aside - is that kitchen cold? With the vaulted roof and open space? Considering a place nearby and a kitchen like yours would be ace but I'm conscious bills may be immense to keep it warm?
It's, generally, a little chillier on a morning than the rest of the house until it heats up (I could set the thermostat to come on earlier / higher) but its only really noticeable when the outside temps are single digits or lower. Also leaving the kitchen door into the hall (where the thermostat is) helps.
I was mindful of the volume and size of the kitchen when we were planning it and decided to go with the vaulted ceiling (the main part of the kitchen - the long leg of the "L" shape is about 8m x 5m and the highest part of the vault is around 5.5m, with a lot of glass - two skylights, two windows and bi-folds) so the roof is heavily insulated and the two radiators installed are suitably sized.
So in short yes, it can be a little chillier bit not too bad
Brill, thank you. My current flat roof kitchen is an ice box so we tend to just close it off and ignore it- but it isn't really a living space (galley kitchen).
