What "man jobs" have you done today?

Man handled my "new to me" log burner out the car, up 13 steps, the hill up the garden and into the Gazebo
Then swapped the flue outlet from the top to the back
We did one for a boss a few years ago and used a special black paste, like shoe polish if I remember correctly.
Hard work taking it back, but looked lovely when finished.
I've built a second storage rack for my garage and dismantled the crappy plastic one it replaced. I also re-routed the light wiring and neatened it up.
I was going to fit a upvc door restrictor bracket that I bought, but it recommends pan/dome screws and I've realised I have nothing suitable.

It was "interesting" getting it out the car and into the wheelbarrow
Lots of swearing getting it up to the gazebo and every inch of effort (plus swearing and sweating) to deadlift / walk it into place. It certainly weighs more than me and I'm about 120kg
Although it's outside it's pretty well covered but will try and keep on top of any rust spots
I'm hoping to leave as is at the mo, it's not in had nick at all (especially what I paid for it)
Only reason he wanted it done was to fit in with the olde vicarage he had bought.
It's not a bad idea for outside heating, if had at a good price.
Thanks and yeah, out the back (out of the gazebo) and up beyond the eaves.
That side it's against we are going to block / panel up as well
Hmm pine trees above the flue may be a fire hazard.

That is stunning.
Something along these lines was my original intention for the BBQ shack I built, which sadly is being turned into a shed now after not being used that much.

Loads still to do, but we're gradually getting there!
Go for aluminium and ideally big enough not to have to extend the second section too much.
May also be worth looking at hiring one if a one off job / not something you'll regularly use
I have triple alloy ladders that are around 3.5m per ladder and will reach what you need with ease and are really stable, even better with a ladder mate.
Ignore the ladder with wheels as that is a roof ladder.
