What "man jobs" have you done today?

Dying!

How come you didn't do it before the kitchen? Does it mean the flooring will now still marry up to the end panels/floor?
I thought itd be difficult to fit chipboard sheets after this?

I suppose if you're overboarding with ply after and fitting LVT should be sound

Combination of factors....I hadn't expected to get it done so quick tbh. I needed the kitchen livable whilst I refitted it; I also wasn't expecting that to happen so quick! Plinths will go down once my final floor is in.

The units are staying on top of the old t&g board so not affected. It just meant I had to slide the PIR in.

Is that solid plaster then, looks very thick.
Solid brick. The plaster is about 10mm horsehair stuff from god knows when.

Started the ordeal of sanding the yellow crap too. Oddly the top bit is harder than the bottom bit (picture rail being the divider!). I've prioritised the top so at least I can paint the ceiling and the top 12 inches.

Floors up tomorrow for wiring and insulation, however I'm definitely a sheet or two of PIR short :(

Are you going to remove the old plaster to brick and then wet plaster again or drywall dot and dab

Lawn is very dire after having the garden entirely demolished and a new fence put in. So went out today intending to get some decent garden tools from Screwfix. Spotted everything we needed in B&M so got those instead, but feel stupid for buying cheap tools... :(

Got home and entirely failed to start garden work as too tired. So we just liberally sprayed the lawn weeds (tons of them, more weeds than grass) as we'll be reseeding soon.
