I've just got round to reading the letters page in the latest Bike magazine, a guy who lists some fairly standard mods that he did to his bike had his insurers refuse to renew his policy on the grounds that he'd made too many modifications to it (he hadn't previously declared them).

So just a work of caution that if you don't inform your insurers of the mods you've made you may invalidate your insurance, and by excessively modding your bike you may limit your insurance options.

Anyhow - Mods to my Fazer 1000 (Gen1)
Hel brake lines
Fuel end can
Jack-Up kit
Nitron Track shock

I've not infomed my insurers of these but I'll probably be doing so next week just to be on the safe side.

On my wee 600 bandit ive

Replaced swing arm with 1200 bandit one and mirror polished it

1200 Rear Shock

Goodridge brake lines.

Goodridge oil lines and after market oil cooler

Indicators changed

Carbon rear hugger

Racing exhaust

Progressive from springs

All engine cases polished.

Done all this when I done a full rebuild on the bike. Was a mess when I got it. Its a 1998 bike but put about 1k worth of parts in it to get it back to its former glory

Pazzos fitted

Brake feels awesome as I only use two fingers on the lever anyway. Clutch feels a bit odd as the lever has to come much closer to the bar. I'm sure I'll get used to it but I'm really happy with the quality and appearance.

Surely thats what the adjusters are for? :p. They look much much better than the standard ones though! And if they feel better, will be awesome when you get braided lines!

I was thinking that too :D Stick ya clutch lever on 3 and start from there. You should be able to get it a fair bit away from your fingers ;)

I suppose I'm just used to pulling the clutch in all the way at a standstill. You can't do that with these shorties using 2 fingers.

Came with the bike:

Double bubble screen
Fender extender
Rear hugger
R&G bungs
Tail tidy
Scott oiler
Tank pad
Delkevic Ti can

If I don't get bored of the bike and sell it I'll probably do the brake lines and fork springs

New mod for me today - new front tyre :D Amazing the difference a tyre with tread makes, felt really grippy! My old Corsa 3 was almost slick on the right-hand side, I was trying to get it to last until both needed to be replaced, but no such luck.

Fully scrubbed tonight, left and right knees down - private corners mind :p

Yea I noticed that too when I changed to shorties, brakes was fine as I always used two fingers, but like you was used to usually using 4 fingers on clutch, think I had it at almost fully out to get a decent feel using two fingers, was painfull with a lot of town work though but thats the beauty of adjustables :p
