What Music Player are you using (Windows Vista)

Windows Media Player
It does everything I need it to do and so have never bothered changing :)

Itunes, but I wish I could install it without Quicktime.

you can (sort of) and thats what I've done :)

Generally I use itunes and qt lite + the itunes add-on . This actually makes itunes run smoother on my rigs (vista x64, 4gb, x2 etc) and haven't had any issues with the latest versions of all apps :eek:

I'm also use wmp11 depending on my mood and where my music is at that moment.

iTunes, but a bit grudingly.

The media library (ie. list view + browser) is the best way i've found to view and play my music. Period.

It also leaves my files alone (if you've ever had problems with this, you need to change prefences) but has the advantage of changing the ID3 tag when you make an edit which means the changes stay no-matter where you play the file.

The reason why I have to grit my teeth a bit is because Apple have turned it into more than just iTunes which makes it bloated and sluggish. On Windows it also runs a load of things as services (Bonjour, iTunesHelper, iPodService, MobileDevice) without asking you if you want Bonjour or if you own an iPhone.

Oh, and Coverflow is one of the most useless things ever.

WMP mostly here, have recently started using foobar2000, much better features but find the interface more cumbersome than WMP, I don't know if it can be changed.

Hello guys,

Just a quick thought. What's everyone using in this forums and are there any recommendations for a good Mp3 Player?

I'm currently using Winamp. Or Rather I used to.
Now I'm just using Windows Media Player. Any better ones out there guys that you could recommend? In terms of looks and functionality?

Sammy

Using Songbird at the moment, works really well with properly tagged music :)

Winamp for me :)

Despite all the negative comments from many people about itunes, I tried it out. It was worse than I could possibly have imagined.

I guess the best thing I can say is that it just about manages to do what you need it to - but it does it in the most horribly irritating and least efficient way possible. Anything I wanted to do seemed to be unnecessarily convoluted.

Itunes here.

I've tried Winamp, but i just prefer itunes look and feel. Plus I buy singles of songs I hear on the radio as and when I want, without having to wait for the CD to arrive.

Oh and I can sync my Ipod touch with it too!

I use a program called Media Monkey

means i can sort all of my videos and things and then just transfer to my ipod.

Im Anti-Itunes so started using it just for the fact that it wasn't itunes and found i liked it
