What on Earth have they done?

Forget Brexit? This is totally because of Brexit!!!! They said so. This new shape bar is for the UK market only in order to avoid them having to put the cost of the bar up which they don't need to do for the rest of Europe.

Personally i think they have judge it wrong and should have just put the price up.
^^This. Chocolate prices are going up.

Things that have become smaller as well as Toblerone (and yet no price shrinkage)...

- Créme Eggs
- Diary Milk
- Magnums
- Wagon Wheels
- Mars Bar
- Walkers crisps (from 34.5g to 32.5g)
- some bottles of pop from 2L to 1.75L

Some alcohol as well:

- Bacardi Breezer from 5.4% to 5.0% then 4%
- Smirnoff Ice from 5% to 4%
- WKD from 330ml to 275ml bottles
- Stella from 5.2% to 4.8%
- Carlsberg from 4.0% to 3.8% (not that it matters because it's glorified **** anyway lol)

This is a work of marketing genius.

They insult few brits and in exhange every single person outside of UK feels good about themselves, because they still have access to proper Toblerone and they even get to laugh on someones harmless misfortune.

Time to book a trip across the Channel with a 7.5T lorry and fill it to the rafters with proper size bars, sell it all back in the UK and retire before Xmas.;)

I just don't understand the logic here; they're obviously trying to deceive people by leaving the exterior packaging unchanged. There's no way that it costs less to design and fabricate new molds and adapt the machinery to form the new style bar, than it would to produce a different sized package. I'm pretty sure printing and forming cardboard is a much simpler process.

Bigger picture though this looks better for actually breaking pieces off and easier to eat. We've gotten used to far too much affordable chocolate anyway.

Considering the UK's endemic problem with alcoholism, this is a good thing.

Plus, only students drink that crap anyway. :p

You will probably find illegal immigrants have eaten the lot when you open the doors back in the UK.
