Currently running windows 7 on my atom-ion htpc but I think I will switch to XP again as a few things about 7 I dont like, plus its a bit sluggish.

XP and win 7 64bit are on my media PC
I have media portal and GB PVR installed on both

I am in the process of transfering my media portal updated config from win 7 back to the Xp install.

XP seems to give better quality picture when playing back video so
Iam going to give it a bash again and use Xp.

Windows 7 64bit running Media Portal on Atom/Ion/4GB DD3 setup. Still in the process of setting it up/tweaking etc, but really pleased with it so far. Runs 1080p Blu-Ray rips with no dropped frames. Still have some issues with live tv, but I think that is a mpeg2 codec issue. Also setting up the remote is proving to be harder than expected due to the HarmonyOne/USB-UIRT/Mediaportal combo.

Windows 7 64 bit all the way. Is there a proper Blu(e)Ray support for linux yet?

I use windows for the same reason given by apples marketing machine. It just works. In my brief forays into running linux, i have never, ever had a smooth experience and i cba with the hassle of getting everything set up and running.
