What PC games are you playing?

Gone back to Neocron Evolution over the last few months, forgot how much i love the game after starting it back in 2002. Also playing a few games of BF4.

struggling to get into anything recent, finding to many dayz / pubg style games.

I wouldn't take a break because chances are you might not return to it. The difficulty might seem hard on first playthrough but you'll know what you are doing and the hardest difficulty is perfectly manageable next time. (I say that as if I can do it, anyone can. )

Plough on through it is then. Hardest part is switching weapons/ammo types mid battle TBH.

Agree with this, I continued on and loved The Frozen Wilds. My Mrs took a break after the main campaign (which she loved) to play a different game, then couldn't get back into Frozen Wilds at all and uninstalled.

Yeah, I found that a challenge for a long while too.

After a while, I gave up trying to juggle different elemental types for all the different enemy weakspots and all the different weapons and just exclusively used hardpoint and one of either freeze or fire arrows depending on the enemy. Oh, maybe tear arrows, but really I just used those for ravager, thrunderjaw and scorcher guns. Those big critters get shot with their own weapons, and pretty much everything else goes down pretty quickly to some combination of hardpoint and freeze/fire, even in TFW. I found the fights were just much easier to manage that way. Plus it's pretty easy on resources.

The hardest fights in the game are definitely in TFW, but they're not inordinately harder than taking down a deathbringer, really. It's a good expansion imho, with some fun new enemies and a few decent quests. I made absolutely no use of the new weapons, though...

Just grabbed Nioh 2 and it's almost installed. Hopefully I can get into it because I'm on a bit of a burn out since stopping the current PoE league. All I've played since is Monster Train and a game I'm too ashamed to name

Ah yes Neocron my first true love, i always hoped they would remake it in a newer engine. I did hear some of the community made the original again (pre Evolution patch), not heard much since though. Is there many still playing it nowadays?

This looks quite interesting. Is there a PvP element to this ? Saw that 1-10 players is mentioned but wasnt sure if it was PvE or PvP.

It’s a mix but it is dominant PvE. You can play on your own, with a friend, with others on a server, with a friend with others in a server, with lots of friends etc. It is generally aimed at PvE and you can set it so other players can’t harm you and you can also stop other players opening your doors.

The world is very big so I could see eventually it going to more than 10 players.

roughly 50 or so in the evenings, but its expected that a lot more people will be logging on soon as they have been working on a big balance patch that is soon to go live, that will sort out a lot of issues with pvp and pve.
