1280x1024 for me, wonder if anyone uses 800x600 still?
I'll take my 2560x1024 over the 22" res everytime.
I run cod4 on a 6800GT at 800x600 FPS too low in MP for a higher res
My main rig runs it at 1280
Where you gaming? An Odeon cinema?
1680x1050 ??? Wow, I had no idea this was such a popular resolution. Is this native to a particularly popular monitor size?
I use that resolution on my PC monitor (22") and on my laptop (15.4"). Because most widescreens use 1680x1050 and 1920x****, it are also the most used resolution. Playing a game at 800x600 on such a screen is just awful (unless the screen has some good upscaling capabilities).1680x1050 ??? Wow, I had no idea this was such a popular resolution. I prefer 4:3 for browsing, i miss the vertical spaceFor me the advantage of widescreen comes in FPS games, those that support it (most do) you gain extra amount of viewing angle, which for me is very useful. I went for lowest native WS, 19" at 1440*900, easy on fps and allows for more control (as you might be able to tell I'm competitive- don't play games for the graphics). As you say good for movies, also good I found for web browsing - lots of tabs
I actually use dual screens, both 19" 1 WS 1 not.
Noticed you're from boro too, whereabouts?
