What retro things have you done today?

Just remembered I have a Scythe Ninja Mini in the garage that came with an 1156 i5 chip i got cheap ages back.
Think the pins are adjustable so hoping that may well fit nicely as it's a great little cooler

You running the 6600 at stock or clocked?

Have a pair of 150gb 2.5" velociraptors I was going to stick in, assuming they should be half decent on an older OS instead of using SSD
At stock for now. Has a coolermaster 212 on it so should be able to give a little more but the PSU is running a bit harder than I would like with the 3870x2

I do remember the 3870x2 being a tad on the thirsty side! That will be the big thing for me....working out what PSU I need. Assuming around the 650-750 mark with 2 gtx260's onboard

I actually have not fired up the XP machine in quite some time. Perhaps I'll go dig it out tonight :D
Its not my favourite build as it really needs a better PSU so its very untidy to look at.

I have actually been playing some sims 1 on my p3 machine. Forgot how hard it actually was!

@phatboy, finally some images for now.

Started taking some better pics of whats there whilst transfering it all upstairs.

Still got the cassette of one of my favourite games, bloody hard tho, Creatures 2: Torture Trouble!

Two working joysticks so far, the less yellowed c64 is my one which has been fixed with parts from the yellowed one at the back which is now spares. The box on the floor is the c64 I grew up on, havent tried it yet, but its boxed and should still be working. The big yellow 1541 I got from a car boot sale seems to be working fine, which is nice... as I'd never tried it before. The Mk2 is iffy as I remember, seems to sometimes be ok and others not.

The Action Replay seems to be a MK4.1 without the storage chip... but other than that it seems to work fine at doing fastload and viewing sprites, etc.

A few disks in the collection of bootleg games seem to not be working, or some items on the disk work and others do not. Can be expected from being in my patents loft since the early 90's I guess!

GEOS is working, and found an file ive saved with my full name which is an image file dating back to 1986.

I'll get more pictures as I go along. Upstairs its connected to Sony Trinitron 4:3 and its looking lovely!

Holy %¤%&# Johnson that looks great!
That C64 looks like it’s in nice shape and the cassette player and slim floppy drive are the same ones I have!
I will post a few pics later of my C64 stuff but I can already see you have more than me :)

Here is probably the most owned hardware for the C64, a Datassette

This later 1541-II model is probably one of the best C64 floppy drives

Bulky Amtech drive that seems very rare these days but works great

No originals came with the C64 so most of my boxed stuff are releases that I supported on Kickstarter.
Will post some game pics later :)

Never tried retrobright either on my C64 nor A1200 since they still look good.
My A500 is yellowed but since I mostly use my A1200, I haven’t done anything to it.

Btw the number 1 cause of a dead C64 is the old C64 power supply itself, so if you intent on using your C64 more casually, you really should get a new one.
I use a modern C64 PSU & 1541-II PSU combo "2-in-1" power supply and it works perfectly fine.

Just wanted to play some startopia tonight but my retro PC had other idea. Keeps failing to load the desktop on boot and on a restart is on 16 colours and 640x480.
Eventually got it to boot somewhat normally and then startopia crashed while setting it to 800x600. I wonder if my geforce 4 is on its way out? Or if its simply just drivers.
